New Playable Update Concern

I wanted to patch a new update for you all (this will add playable oscar) and update the testing map, HOWEVER, I've completely destroyed Barnaby's manor and updated it so it fits my actual vision for the opening of this segment. We had to rush the final art for gamescom, which is why the interior of the manor was so weird! It is finished but not ready enough for public viewing, and I don't really want to keep delaying updates to the build.
Would you all be ok if we patch an update but remove the opening segment of the game? It would go straight to the cutscene and the Barnaby chase segment and skip out the platforming and manor at the start. Potentially I could try and archive the demo somewhere if you wanted to play the older version?

2024-08-02 15:14:08 +0000 UTCWhen you improve on things it usually requires you to deconstruct or remove elements that weren't working, so the entire opening sequence before the chase has been remade from scratch. The old area no longer works as functionality has been moved to the new and improved area, however, I'm not ready to show off the new area just yet.

If not I think my vote would be get the update in, since the manor part then only serves to show the general platforming mechanics and general vibe of Barnaby's level, both of which are covered by other aspects of the demo. At least, that's my own view and opinion on it.

A VR game I play, Hotdogs, Horseshoes and Handgrenades, lets you swap between having the latest full update, the weekly beta builds, and sometimes the previous full update if the latest breaks mods.
