Billie Bust Up-date July 2023

We've reached a significant internal milestone, and I can't wait to share the exciting news with all of you soon! However, for the time being, our updates might appear a bit smaller as we're moving beyond the concept art stages. The polished work we're completing now contains potential spoilers, so we have to be cautious about what we share.

A major shift is happening between our tiers. Previously, the testing tier had limited content, while the $1 tier had plenty. With the progress we've made in gameplay development, we anticipate that more content will now be added to the testing tier, allowing our dedicated testers to experience and provide feedback on the latest features.

Currently, our focus lies on reworking the prologue to ensure it sets the right tone for the entire experience. We've completed chapters 1 and 2, but I felt the need to improve the story pacing and some gameplay elements. Our narrative is incredibly important to us, so we want to ensure it's released when it's truly ready to be enjoyed by our players.

The gems in the game have received a captivating visual upgrade, thanks to the incredible skills of our talented VFX artist, Chaofantatic.

Billie is seeing some animation upgrades as DJTHED changes our animation system to feel more dynamic and fun

Billies eyes can now scale! something we didn't know how to do at the start of development but have become knowledgeable enough to do now. Should add some extra personality to the cutscenes

The ghosts in the Barnaby chase get tiny cooking hats for the goat meat stew


Oscar now have has his little closed chicken wings! No longer will they stick out to the side

The Meeting Barnaby cutscene is almost done too! It's looking really good, just a few more tweaks and audio mixing and it will be ready to show off to the world

The Barnabys Barnaboos may be seeing a little update or change, Ash had then sudden realisation they'd make cute little chubby birds! I'm not sure if its something we can do yet but considering how uncomplicated their rigs are, maybe??

Here's a look at some concepts for the lost city of magic! Using a magic flower based system for its lighting. Magitech is a wonderful mix of magic and technology. 

In extra good news Scrimshaws song has been recorded, it isn't mixed yet but our is animating it all out. It's the only full song cutscene in the game, but it still has a few secrets to make it special...
