Added 2023-05-22 17:39:03 +0000 UTCWe've been super busy, I've finally decided to take a break from my deadline to write up a patreon and Kickstarter update. Makes a nice break to reflect on everything we have accomplished. We have something exciting coming up in the next few months and we're working hard to reach the deadline. So lets get into it!
A large majority of our work goes into the cutscenes. We're now using a brand new system that is helped boost team morale. Instead of one animator tackling an entire scene it is split into shots so multiple animators work on one cutscene. Erik is supervising everyone to ensure there a consistent art style across the board.

This tip is quite interesting! Ensuring that the FOV for the camera compliments the 2D aesthetic of the faces.

Particle Effects
We've been adding particle effects with our new particle effects artist absolutely rocking it
Here we have the broom brolley and freeze! (The freeze screenshake has been removed since recording this, I didn't like how it looked)
For Billies shield we went with a soap bubble approach! With this lovely slick rainbow effect
Moving from cracks to something more swirly to fit the bubble aesthetic. Watch the gameplay here
