BBUpdate: So Many Animations!!

Sooo many things to update you on, lets go!

Animations

Lets start with animation!

We're currently working through Chances with Wolves! The first chapter, The Goat Escape, is complete to a degree, with all high and medium priority animation assets complete.

Scrimshaw

Here are some of the concepts Ash did for the above animations

 Fresca

Fresca! Water and treasure map seller! Buy treasure maps and find rare minerals out at sea that you can use with Percy to make your very own custom sword (Yes we're going Wind Waker style for this level)

Marmalade

Working at the pier, Marmalade will stack and move boxes to help the others prepare for an adventure on the high seas. She dreams of the day that she can set sail too, but her father, Moon, is too concerned for her safety to let her go

Marmalades magic decoy is a big boat to escape the island on!

Moon

Local fruit seller and grumpy lad, Moon! 

He sits upon his fruit stand

Basile (and Hayes)

(Imagine they are writing on a clipboard, I haven't set up the prop yet)

The hugs are low priority animations but I hope we have time to add them all in!

Lip Sync System Changes

We have changed the way lip syncing works now which gives us more control over the dialogue, I've linked a video below that goes into more detail.

Eavesdropping

Listen in and interrupt conversations 

Thumbnailing the next song!

One of the next songs is a full cutscene and not playable. There are 6 different versions of the song with different lyrics. What you get will be random and will change the puzzles you get later on 

Fruit Stacking Minigame

A early work in progress look at one of the first chapters mini games. I want to add active threats to this mini game, like cat pirates of crabs stealing the fruit. Oscar can help in co-op mode by helping to stack the fruit next to the correct box.

Aristotle Plushie!

The new Aristotle plushie from Makeship will be available for pre-order in 2 days time! 

Fantoccio Backer Pin

The backer pin prototype is now complete and it came out looking amazing, we went for a gold finish instead of the black nickel. 

I feel the photo doesn't do it justice, but I have a video posted here if you'd like a cheeky sneak peak 

Bonus Misc Goodies!

An out of date map for Claw Bay! We have since separated these smaller islands into larger more separated islands.  We are still experimenting with this concept but want to lean into the adventuring and sailing aspects of Wind Waker for this particular chapter. For pacing sake we may focus more on exploring, optional side missions and mini games in this chapter
