It's Time for Another Update!

All things Barnaby!

Barnaby has gotten a lot of love this month, with his brand new song we've also received the first prototypes for his backer pin. I am awaiting it in person for approval before I start prototyping and batch ordering the rest, but I love how it came out! What do you think? Just need to make a special backing card for it now.  I'm looking forward to packing every order, I think it will be fun to put together each package ❤️

Speaking of Barnaby, I'm guessing you'll want to hear his awesome song? Have no fear, I have a sneak peak here with a rough animation test for his chase scene!

Custom Tape!

As I mentioned earlier I'm quite excited for the part where we get to hand package all the physical merch stuff! So I've invested a bit of my own money into buying some custom tape with the characters faces on it! These will be used to tape up the boxes to backers. It's gonna be super cute when it's done ❤️

Music Begins!

We have a new composer! Adam Halpin recently joined the team with a bang by producing the most fantastic adaptive soundtrack for the prologue (for those who have play tested probably noticed it was using Claw Bay Pirate music as a temp placeholder) The music will get more intense the closer you get to the wall to escape. Here's an example of the loops in action, we hope to patch this into the Prologue soon for testing

Animation Begins!

The animation process begins! Since Luke has finished all major character rigs he has moved onto animation.  We expect to be flooded with character animations soon and I'm extremely excited to see all the characters I've modelled come to life soon.  Here are some animations Ash has storyboarded for Luke to use.

Bless you! The mushroom will sneeze out spores. We've aimed for them to not attack the player but instead create environmental hazards via its spores

We have planned for magic decoy to work on all characters, even if the power up is not unlocked in this chapter, if you cheat, you'll find it still works! Originally the mushrooms would eat the lizard, but it turns out...they're a bit too big to be eaten
Mmm tasty Lizard

So we have now changed it to the mushrooms looking curiously at the lizard instead. The magic decoy is intended to spawn your hearts desire. So I can't help but laugh at the fact that the mushrooms true hearts desire is...to look at a lizard.

The mushroom dance! A super rare event that I don't expect to happen on a blind playthrough. A mushroom will dance and sing a song to attract a mate.

Once a mate has been attracted the two mushrooms will dance and then sneeze, releasing spores.

Enough mushroom talk! What about the Barnaboos?

Barnaby's little ghosts will be often seen dancing, but turn your back and they'll be sure to stab you.

Billie will also be getting some much needed idle animations, here are a few new ones, other idles have been shown in previous posts

One of the cat pirate merchants, super cute, I love her! She gets her own section because I'm unsure where else to add her category wise, enjoy this cat pirate in all her glory
