[Prop Concept Art] Fantoccio's Pride

Originally Jovi was working with Ash's original concept for Fantoccio's stage but adapted it with feedback. Ash stated that the stage should almost be more "clockwork" in feel. Like a giant clock mixed with into the stage. Jovi had an excellent idea of a giant clockwork Fantoccio head above the stage that moves around during the boss fight

[MINOR SPOILER WARNING]

Normally I wouldn't explain a metaphor as it ruins the symbolism behind the scene, but I wanted to go into some of the thoughts behind the process of this concept.

The giant head is intended to symbolise Fantoccio's ego, with the hands above lined up to appear like it is puppeting him. The theatre is long and narrow, giving a sense of claustrophobia and social anxiety as the crowd watches.

Fantoccio's musical boss fight is so intense that the building shakes and debris fall from the ceiling above. He hits his final note, completely unaware of the giant Fanto head above him cracking into pieces.

The head falls on top of him, ceasing the fight and burying him under the rubble. His ego was his downfall.
