World 2 - Level and Boss Design

This was a video I made for our animator to explain the current level idea and boss idea, he works remotely so its easier to show him through video! I thought I'd share this so you guys can feel involved with the process too and get a behind the scenes look at the game so far. These ideas may evolve a lot throughout the game development process so its interesting to document them as they change

Some ideas :D You could use Mont Saint Michel as inspiration for the general setup/proportions of the pirate island. <a href="http://de.normandie-tourisme.fr/docs/89-9-mont-saint-michel.jpg" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">http://de.normandie-tourisme.fr/docs/89-9-mont-saint-michel.jpg</a> skull, maybe some walls as protection (with cannons), a serpentine street to the top, the mansion. All other buildings are tiny in comparison. The sucker being stuck might work best on smooth rocky ground, like a low cliff. Also be sure to let the kraken struggle visibly, pulling on the stuck tentacle (even if not connected). If you do chose the arena setup you might not need more than 2 cannons, you just need to add more cats that aim, reload and fire. Maybe even with them making mistakes every now and then, like firing before the ball is loaded, just to throw you off in higher difficulty. (maybe you could even attack them and make them faint for short, or get the kraken to break the cannons) You could also use scar or bandaid decals to "measure" the damage dealt to the kraken. Another idea: have 2 viable ways to get onto the Pirate island: fixing the boat or sneaking in as one of them, if they switch their patrolling groups on otter island. The one would mean you sneak in the easy way, since you got a disguise, but in the other case you don't, so you need to avoid all contact with the pirate cats.
