Billie Plushie Round 1

If you've read our article about Oscar the plushie you'll probably already know that plush creation rarely goes to plan, at least on the first try! After having a successful Oscar plushie made we moved onto Billie 

We provided quite a detailed reference sheet to help with her creation but small errors slipped through, including problems with her colour scheme, face shape and even fingers. 

 Here is the first sneak peak of Round 1 Billie 

Lets just say things don't look quite right yet. She has one too many fingers, and her colour palette is way more saturated than expected. But considering that Budsies designers cannot check their patterns until they are assembled in China it can be quite hard to perfect a character on the first try. Hopefully version 2 will come out much better after our experience with version 1 of Oscar

I've sent off the following feedback to the designer 

•  Horns are too long and curve inwards, should be shorter, rounder and cone shaped 
•  Horns are too close together  
• Face a bit too long Snout should be facing upwards and forwards and not downwards. 
• Body lacking shape too spherical and short, needs to be a bit more like a rounded cone/raindrop shape.
•  Too many fingers, one extra finger is added, there should only have 3 digits per hand (2 fingers 1 thumb) 
• Fingers are wrong shape, should be cone shaped instead of cylindrical 
• Eyes a bit too big and too far up (no forehead) 
• Missing eyebrows 
• Black frame/eyelashes around eyes should not go all the way around the eye, remove near nose
•  Tail too big and missing white underneath (should be using the longer fur material for the white part)
•  Eye patch is missing small dot on right side under eye
•  Needs thigh gap, the space between the base of legs should be wider and her feet and legs should point outwards more
•  Ears should be positioned under the horns in profile and next to the horns on frontal/back view.
•  Colours are too purple, dark and saturated, should be closer to a light grey blue 
• White heart pads under feet might be missing, cannot see in the pictures provided
•  Hair currently looks like a Mohawk, should be more like a side fringe
•  Ears right length and good shape
•  Pupils look good, good colour 
• Bell and Collar look good Pattern is mostly correct, just needs to add white tail underneath and dot under eye 
• Horn colour is correct 

Hopefully with a full redline it should help the designer fix the problem areas quickly! Last time Budsies were very fast at prioritising and fixing issues quickly. I doubt the next version will be perfect either but we'll get there! Despite it all both Billie and Oscars prototype plushies are pretty awesome in their own way, maybe we can reference them in the game somewhere!
