anyway let's talk about lore oooOOooh
Taking lots of cues from the original story, the Heavenly generals in my setting are the protectors of the ruler of a Mystical Empire surrounded in mist-ery that 100% dodged the Calamity from 1000 years ago when all mortals almost perished.
In this realm there are species/races that are not that common; like the ratfolk, boar/pig people or the Wolfkin (descendants of werewolves). Mekhila is a chicken kenku which is common despite me not having drawn any until now and Antila is just a human that - I assume- transformed more and more into a monkey after taking the position.
