Finally: EUR and Annual Memberships!

Finally, there is two great news!

I've switched my Patreon payout currency to EUR!

 Do you now have to use EUR?

• No: you can now pay in the currency you prefer! Patreon currently supports USD, EUR and GBP. You can choose your own currency in the settings (https://support.patreon.com/hc/en-us/articles/204606275-International-payments-and-currencies).
  So, if you're from the US, you'll continue to use USD. If you're from the UK, you can finally use GBP. And if you're from Europe too, you can finally use EUR! Patreon staff say they're planning to add more currencies as time goes by, so that'll give you more freedom!

Why have I done it?

• Because I am from Italy, where EUR is used. Receiving all the pledges in USD meant that I had to pay huge fees to PayPal to convert the payout to EUR, and the pledges changed wildly with the USD/EUR exchange rate.
• People who were not from the US, were forced to pay in USD, sometimes incurring extra fees. Now, instead, they can choose to pay in USD, EUR or GBP!

Do the tiers change?

• If you are already a patron, nothing changes for you: you'll keep the tier you have joined with!
• Changing the payout currency, I had to convert the tiers to EUR.
  Previously, they were $3 and $10.
  Now, they are €3 and €9: I've chosen these values because, at the current exchange rate, they reflect better the previous tiers.
• The USD and GBP equivalents are chosen and updated automatically by Patreon, following this page: https://support.patreon.com/hc/en-us/articles/360044469871-Creator-currency-settings-on-Patreon
  So, in this case €3 should be $3.52 with today rates, but it'll be $3.50 until the next update (every 6-12 months). The €9 tier should be $10.55, but it's $10.50. And so on!
• Once you join a tier, you keep that price!
  For example, today the TG Lover tier is at $3.50. If the EUR becomes stronger, new patrons that are paying in USD will see it at $4.00, but you'll continue to pay $3.50.
  That works both ways! For example, if you have joined the Patreon tier before the currency change, at $10, and you know switch to EUR, you'll pay €9.50, instead of €9, because that's what Patreon automatically associates to $10.

I've enabled Annual Memberships!

The standard Monthly Membership won't go anywhere!

But, if you wanted to use the Annual Membership, now you can!
It seems only fair to me that patrons who decide to pledge for a whole year deserve a proper discount, so I've selected the maximum discount allowed by Patreon: 16%!

I am not planning to, but if, for any reason, I closed the Patreon, I'd refund all patrons whose annual pledge is not over!
For example, if you join in March, and I close the Patreon after 3 months, I'd refund 3/4 of the annual subscription.

If you join the TG Lover tier with the annual membership, and then you want to switch to the Patreon tier, you'll only pay for the difference.

I'm very happy about these two changes, because I felt a bit bullied by the previous fees. But I'm glad they're now giving us the option to choose!
