What was "the Secret Video"?

If you've been to streams over the past month or on the discord you might have noticed mention of a "secret video" that I meant to release before moving on to Zero 3.
Well ya see, a long time ago on this channel I released a series of videos reviewing each of the Twisted Metal games. These went on to be the first set of reviews I released that I would consider a "success", which was like 2000 views. Those were big boi numbers at the time!
With the new Twisted Metal show releasing soon and I having a decently sized audience now the thought occurred to me...
"Oh fuck, what if those videos start showing up in people's recommended? They are SO bad. The footage is hideous, the border is blurry and awful looking, the audio sounds like I'm mumbling directly into some cheap SpyGear walkie talkie and the first one isn't even in stereo!"
As a result I decided to take advantage of this situation to remake the series as a single large review with new HD footage and re-recorded audio to capitalize on the hype. But the truth is the more I worked on this project the more I changed about it, the more I added and it quickly turned into an entirely new, much better video with a brand new script from the ground up that goes way more in depth than my original series did.
The problem is this went from an extra project I could complete in two or three weeks, to what would be another full two hour plus long giant retrospective that would take over a month to finish. As much as I would love to keep working on Twisted Metal, and I know you guys here on Patreon would understand, I've kept everyone waiting far too long for the continuation of the other two series we're in the middle of and some people over on YouTube are getting... impatient to say it politely, and if they wait another month only to receive something completely different and THEN have to wait even longer for the videos they're actually waiting for things could really go south.
It kinda sucks but these are the kinds of decisions I have to make for the good of the channel.
So while I won't say the video is "scrapped", it is going to be put on hiatus for now.
I figured I would attach the chunk of the script I completed as a little extra thing rather than it potentially just being lost to time, accidentally discovering if my writing holds up without copious amounts of overdone editing jokes.
I'll hold on to my script notes about all of the other games and the footage I already recorded in case I ever decide to come back to this idea.

It's spooky as hell that I find this literally a year to the day after you posted it, but maybe that's some fucked up cosmic sign. I actually found your channel through the Apocalypso series, and rewatch it all the time whenever I'm not binging the Battle Network playlist for the billionth time(Twisted Metal fan that I may be, I am still primarily a true blue Megaman boyo like all the rest, Zero 4 when you freshly shucked gigachad?). Hearing there was a remaster for those reviews in the works but it's now on hiatus makes my soul sink into the floor, but the hope is still alive, since a hiatus is not the same as a cancelation. Just know John that if you ever decide to pick this project back up, I will be eagerly awaiting the myriad of new ways your decently robust vocabulary can articulate, "Dickhead holds contest, cars go boom, fuckers get wishes."

Zero and .hack should definitely be the priorities now. There will always be people like me who will watch the non Megaman/.hack stuff that comes out, best to keep the channel growing to capture more of us

I think you should capitalize on that feeling of ambition and interest. ride that passion. it can be a rare thing, and it should be savored while it's there. that's the kind of feeling that makes long projects so fulfilling.

He's even less miserable then 2023 John...and he gave Johnny a BeeseChurger...oh my god Future John's so cool. And He probably works out now and has a 1-pac. Because theres no realistic way he has gotten to 6 yet. Wowwwwww, and The Starforce 2 video was most likely an amazing experimental evolution of his video making process....wowwwwww. Also congrats on 30K in the Future in Advance, 2024 John.
