Random Battle Network Script Notes!

Hey-o everybody! 

Ya know while playing games to review them I jot down a series of loosely connected notes to help jog my memory when actual scripting time comes. Sometimes these are just small incoherent sentences and sometimes they're entire small bits that I write down before I forget them.

So for no particular reason I figured I'd share a few of these random bits I wrote down over a month ago, some of which may or may not make it into the final Battle Network 5 video.

This implies that netnavis need some kind of "cyber air" to live and can be deprived of it resulting in their death.

This is the moral equivalent of Dr. Light programming Mega Man and Roll to get cancer and die at 65. There's no REASON for you to purposefully go out of your way to add "BREATHING" as a function Navi's need to perform!

The Battle Network 5 iteration of the Undernet might be the single most out of nowhere sharp difficulty spike in this entire series.

I'll reiterate this sentiment one last time. The problem isn't that the game gets more difficult, the problem is that the game abruptly goes from so simple your dog could do it... to slamming your stupid bitch face into the controller.

Most of the enemies here either just teleport their attacks to you from anywhere on the board, or have very narrow windows of vulnerability. Especially rage inducing since the game has decided that every battle should now have ice and poison panels FUCKING EVERYWHERE! The Dominerds specifically can rot in the darkest circle of Dante's Inferno...

An enormous bright green tower jutting out the top of the most famous volcano in the world is not exactly what one would call "hidden". You'd think the military or like, literally anybody with a functioning brain stem would have noticed building crews dragging up the absurd amount of raw materials and machinery it would have taken to construct this over the course of many weeks.

I know I harp on this endlessly but the awe-inspiring stupidity of the entire population of Earth that I am meant to accept in this universe continues to curb stomp my immersion. Lan is canonically, a pre-teen with a walnut brain... and severe radiation poisoning but he's the only one who can get shit done? I'm calling shenanigans!

But I suppose that's what happens when you try and analyze the narrative of game for 10 year olds. I guess that's makes ME the idiot huh?
