What Patreon Has Done
Added 2017-03-23 23:04:30 +0000 UTCI just want to thank you all for subscribing to this Patreon! This has been the most amazing thing for Abney Park. We received the first payment from Patreon this month, and the first thing we did with the money it was replace the furnace in our house. Our old furnace it actually went out about six months ago, and we couldn't afford to get a new one. Yes, we went the whole winter with no heat...and you should have heard the violin players complain!!! Actually, been heating the house with wood since the furnace went out. this is the north west after all, and I was raised with a complete set of lumberjack skills. but even still it felt kind of "poor " to not actually have a working furnace in the house. Not to mention I ran out of firewood! So, we got a new furnace installed today! Heat once again! And Thanks to your support, we were able to spring for the awesomely steam punk, copper, wifi-digital "nest" thermostat! (this is actually very thrifty, as we will use less power with this.) Again, thank you so much. Your support is really making a world of difference in compensating for what digital streaming has done to the music industry. Thanks to you, we can keep going!
