They would fire arrows from a great height upon enemy forces, also firing signal flags to guild ground forces. They also served as royal messengers and scouts. Celestial Archers sided with Solar loyalists during the Equestrian Civil War and where the primary defenders of Fort Canterlot against a major military coup planned by Nightmare Moon.
