Also on some random ideas - An SI/OC or named character that acts pretty much like a freelancer dimensional traveler. His job is about contacting people or organizations, and for a proper price offer specific services. Like Protectorate asks for healing potions, Pokemon world for unique herbs, etc. Or to get Taylor some exotic bugs from D&D/Naruto or something for a price. Or it may be something more direct like eliminating target X.
