Bulking Up (And Out) Pt2

“How the fuck do you go out of business in less than a year?”

Cassie angrily punched a large box containing some of her clothes, sending it crashing to the ground. She thought about picking them up, but instead took a seat on one of the other moving boxes on the ground.

“I’ve looked around this town and there are a ton of lard asses who can use not only a gym but a year eating just kale. How can you shut down?!”

She listened to the person on the other end explain to her the situation, but Cassie was not having it. She had taken all of her possessions and money across a few states to get this job and now she was told the position did not exist?

“You know, I moved from Texas to get here and take this job, and now you’re going to just screw me over like this? That isn’t fucking right!”

The woman informed her that the company would send her a little severance package to cover her moving costs, but that would be it. Cassie had heard enough and just chucked the cordless phone across her studio apartment, smashing it into the wall.

“This is bullshit!”

The enraged rabbit got off the box she had been using as a chair and stormed around her small apartment, furious with not only the gym, but at Kay as well as at herself. She should have known this position was too good to be true and that the fatty she had trained was as dumb as she was fat.

Cassie gripped her protein shake and took a hearty swig. It was store bought as she did not have the funds now to pay for her usual high end protein powder that she ordered online. Plus, there were no health food shops anywhere near the apartment, so she had to buy the generic shakes from the local grocery store. They tasted like crap, but they had a lot of protein in them. They also had a ton of sugar to them as well, but she wasn’t paying much attention to that when she bought them. She was too angry with the manager.

While in the store for the first time, Cassie noted that the produce and meat sections were severely lacking. Unlike the “Whole Foods” she was accustomed to, this store was only interested in making a buck. And it wasn’t like they had the items she wanted and charged an exuberant price for them; they just did not carry them. She even had asked the manager at the store if they had any chia seeds. The obese lion just looked at her like she was speaking a foreign language and shrugged his shoulders before directing her to the section that sold fruit seeds for gardening. It had taken all her strength not to strangle him.

Now, the 26-year-old was faced with a dilemma, what the hell was she going to do?

“I better call Kay and tell her I’m done with this place. Fucking fat ass screwed me over and she’s going to pay.”

She looked at the phone on the floor in pieces.

“And tell her she owes me A LOT for this major inconvenience.”
