Jake and DD planned updates
Added 2022-10-17 07:17:16 +0000 UTCAfter the number of renders I've made with Jake and DD, I have 2 key points where they can be improved:
Jake needs his hair. I like the spikes since they rig super easily, but they look really weird at some angles. I think Jake might just look weird at some angles due to his overall design, but the spikes don't help. So he'll be getting a spine more akin to his original design.
An attempt at easier tail rigs. In all honesty, no promises on this one. I have a pretty good setup with the tails right now, but it isn't super user friendly. The hot seat animation file has the newer tail rigs in it, and they don't pose super easily but can be very versatile. Not entirely sure how to address this one, so of any of you have any tail rigging expertise let me know.
The secret third update will be to re-export their textures with the right normals. This one won't be hard. But their normals are setup for DirectX, but Blender is OpenGL. Which isn't ideal.
Once I figure that stuff out they'll be made public with the much needed updates.

That can be handled with the rig, so a permanent change might be too much of a commitment
