Good morning everyone! If you've been keeping up with the local Los Angeles news, you've probably read that we are currently on fire (literally). Thankfully, as of writing this, the whole team is safe and we're hoping that all of our friends, families, coworkers, and every Angelino is safe and evacuated from the fires. If you know someone in the Los Angeles area, never hurts to reach out and double check that your friend is OK!
Before we get into the boxes, I have a really cool thing to share with you guys. Patreon featured our show up on a billboard at Times Square over the holidays! This is so awesome to see the guys up on a billboard with the snowy holiday around. It just gives me the warm and fuzzies...

I'm at a total loss for words (or not really, because I have a lot to say!). This is so meaningful to see this wonderful show we created up on a billboard in Times Square. What a gift. This would not have been possible without the support of you, the Patrons ... so thank you!
Now that I'm done being all sappy, here's the scoop on this week's episode. So if you've already listened to this episode, you know that Quentin's VHS for The Andersonville Trial came from a bootlegger and had no back of the box. I'll go ahead and read the back of my box on next week's Aftershow, but until then, I've got the two other boxes from the Archives.
You guys, I cannot tell you how relieved I was that some YouTube angel put The Ultimate Thrill up for you all to enjoy. Of course, it happened after we recorded our episode, but that meant you guys got to watch it! As soon as I saw this box on Quentin's couch I was dying to know what it was, and of course it ended up being a movie we covered...

This is one of the coolest boxes I've seen on our show thus far. You guys know, I despise it when a box isn't in a perfect little slipcase to uniformly go on my shelf -- but look at this! Look at the composition! Look how beautiful she is drawn! Her eyebrows! Her eyelashes! Looks that could kill (and totally do). This is a piece of original art I would love to have hanging in my home.

And for those of you playing the at home game ... go ahead and try to read this back of the box! This is what Roger struggles with! Who thought that black on brick was a good idea?
Thankfully I won't be too jealous of Quentin's copy of The Ultimate Thrill, because my tape finally came in and my box is certified funky fresh. Stay tuned for next week's Aftershow where we'll return to this title and discuss my thoughts on it. Even though the guys didn't know I hadn't seen it when we discussed it, they were really kind and didn't give us any spoilers ... but next week all bets are off, and I can't wait to really get into it!
Now, if this cover art doesn't grab you, I don't know what will. We've had a lot of chatter over in the community tab (which you should totally join in, if you haven't already) about this title. Quentin, we all agree: you weren't dreaming! This is as awesome as you thought!
We also didn't read the back of the box for Beach of the War Gods because, well, Quentin's box is in Dutch. However, we have an international audience, so maybe someone can tell me how the description holds up to the actual plot?
There's an audio clip of me attempting to read the back of this box ... good job that I have control over the Aftershow audio, because no one needs to hear that! However, my box has come in, so I'll give you all some English language audio next week.
I really like the back of the box art they picked for this title. If I didn't know better, I would say that they felt like a gif -- they move before your eyes. That's how great the action is in this title.
That's it for today! If you're looking for even more titles to check out and watch while you wait for next week's clues, check out this list made by Mike Kenny where he tells you all the movies mentioned by Quentin, Roger, and myself this episode.
I'll see my Aftershow regulars next week where the guys join me after hours to discuss, with spoilers, The Ultimate Thrill. If you don't listen to the Aftershows, remember that we post the clues for the next main episode over in the community chat as soon as the episode airs.
xoxo gala
