2024-12-22 17:50:08 +0000 UTCA reason for the current lack of visibility for both L.A. CONFIDENTIAL and 28 DAYS LATER is that the rights changed hands on each. CONFIDENTIAL was one of many movies that Arnon Milchan's Regency company produced that went out through WB, but when he moved his shingle to 20th Century, eventually, all those movies WB released reverted to him and now 20th handles them for all media. In turnabout, while Searchlight released 28 DAYS, they lost the rights long ago, hence the unavailability. Since Sony will be releasing the new follow-up 28 YEARS LATER, part of the deal means they will get the rights to 28 DAYS and 28 WEEKS.
