Added 2024-11-13 08:00:03 +0000 UTCHey guys! BEEP BEEP! Move out of the way, it's Herbie (and Gala) with the box art from today's episode.
First up we had our very first Disney clamshell of the show. Quentin offered up three movies for us to watch as our first Disney film -- and Roger and I selected The Love Bug. Want to know what other movies were offered up? I'll clue you in on next week's Aftershow.

You guys may remember, but I've actually photographed this shelf before. If you know me, I love uniform boxes (even if they are clamshells...), so I couldn't resist highlighting this shelf on our Instagram.

Another really cool box of the day, we have Quentin's Japanese The Amsterdam Kill.

We had no back of the box reading for this one since ... well, it's in Japanese! Next week I'll share a picture of my box for The Amsterdam Kill so you guys can all experience the back of the box.
Lastly -- Birds of Prey.
Wow, I just realized, all three boxes this episode were clamshells! That doesn't always happen. How do you guys feel about clamshells?
Anyway, I'll be back next week with the Aftershow ... Did you see the clue I posted along with the Pandemonium Reigned script pages for the first vaulted episode discussion?
Hope you all enjoyed the box art, and catch you later!

Clamshells were the gold standard of adult film VHS in the 1980s

2024-11-19 05:46:12 +0000 UTCIn France every VHS were in clamshells. So I was surprised when I found out later that the VHS were not like that in other countries. I like better your VHS. Maybe because they are not like mine.

2024-11-13 16:15:49 +0000 UTCThe Disney clamshells always felt like you had something special and separate from the rest of your video library, like a rare gem collection- especially when you acquired a VHS release from the limited-time-only Disney “vault”.
