【Bonus】 Making Malina party

I will introduce the making of Marina that I drew a long time ago.

Marina had been looking forward to drawing for a long time, but she was worried about what kind of picture she would make. She vaguely imagined that she was playing a game, so here is what she drew.

The screen is a little narrow.

Wouldn't it be nice to have a PC game...? Here is what I thought and drew.

I was going to make Cerberus the one peeking in the background.

What they both have in common is that Marina's feet are invisible.

I wanted to draw a lot of legs, so I'm thinking about a version that makes him stand instead of sitting.

Marina is cleaning. I likes it, but I can't think of a situation around her. She seems to be troubled by something that has been thrown away...

If I found something interesting, I might have used this idea, but it didn't happen. Also, my desire to have Marina play a board game was getting stronger and stronger.

・Composition where the legs can be seen

・Playing board games

I decided to improve the very first rough while keeping these two points in mind.

Here it is.

I'm going to force the camera to look down and see Marina's feet.

Except for the absence of Zdorada, it's almost the same composition as the completed one. I like Azazel when he's drunk. (she looks more conspicuous than Marina, but it's funny and okay...)

Since there are many small items and multiple characters, I will prepare a perspective to maintain a certain spatial composition. This is a perspective that is only about 40% accurate. because it's free hand drawn!

I will adjust the character and background based on the perspective.

I thought Pandemonica was okay at this point, but Azazel's expression and Marina's proportions didn't go well.

I'm going to fix the things and put the accessories too. This time too, there are too many small items, and I feel a little despair because of the effort of the clean copy work.

In the rough stage, I recently discovered that by arranging images picked up from the web as layouts, the work speed increases dramatically.

If I had used this method for the last time's instruments, I would have been able to do it quite easily. By the way, the board game is called "Runebound", and it's a fun game to play RPG with everyone. Please play if you are interested!

I wanted to draw Cerberus, but it took me three times as much effort to draw him, but I hesitated and ended up with another character. When I think about who might be peeking behind me, I think it's around Justice and Zdorada, but I chose Zdorada because Justice has appeared relatively before and because it's an illustration of the main character Marina.

This time too, there are a lot of small items, including characters, and it looks like it will be an illustration that takes a lot of work... I haven't been able to reflect on the last time... While I was thinking about it, the rough draft was solidified, so I started working on the line art.

This time, the line drawing work went much smoother than I expected.

I brush up small items while drawing lines. (Glasses, Zdorada gloves, etc.)

By the way, a cocktail made with tequila and pineapple juice is called Matador (although I've never tried it). Lime, mint, and raspberry are added as a bonus, and I heard that "marina" means raspberry in Poland, which made me think of Mr. vanripper's country.

I had a hard time with Zdorada, and I had trouble finding a pose that fits well because the space that I can use is quite small. She then moves on to the next hell, lacquer work.

As usual, I will place one shadow from the solid paint.

Because there are so many elements, if the shadows are not controlled, it will be difficult to grasp the space and it will be difficult to see. In the case of this composition, the distance between the elements is not very far, so I can't use the method of forcibly creating a sense of distance with air perspective.

I decided to do the shading adjustment later and finish the numerous individual elements.

…In fact, I accidentally deleted the finishing data, so there is no intermediate work data from this point onwards…! ! So, I apologize for suddenly showing the data after the completion of finishing, but I will explain it step by step.

First of all, a side table and sake group. I painted it with reference to the package sold in the United States so that it could be conveyed to people overseas. The character drawn on the ice bucket is Cocytus of Ice Hell.

I was planning to draw a knife for cutting limes, but I forgot...

Board game group. It's been a long time since I played Runebound, so the chip placement on the table might be wrong. In this game, miniatures are prepared, but since it's a big deal, I tried to make a design that imitates the player. I feel that the unpainted gray color looks good.

The player card depicts Marina holding the upper case, but the model is Sir Varadia, a muscle-brained character. (Self-satisfaction story that no one knows)
The expression that tequila is overflowing is what I did my best.

Looking at it now, I think it would have been better if the liquid was a little more transparent.

Marina's feet are also a particular point. Since it's tights, I'd like to put in a gradation as much as possible, but I tried to keep it to a minimum so that it wouldn't stand out too much from other anime paintings.

The highlights of the tights are not too conspicuous, but I am satisfied with the feeling of being able to make a strong statement. The linear highlights are an expression inspired by Chun-Li's pixel art from Street Fighter 3. Professor Akiman is great.

At the last minute, the shading on Marina's torso didn't go well, so I repainted it 2-3 times. (As mentioned above, the data is lost during the process, but...)

Only the chest is bright, and the bottom is not overstated, and it fits nicely.

I would like to try painting clothes on some other occasion.

It's complete!

Although it has a slightly flat impression, I think that it was summarized in an easy-to-look manner. I would be happy if the fun atmosphere of the home party was conveyed.

If you increase the number of elements, you can pack the story, but I feel that the impact of the thumbnail will be weakened. Also, since the amount of work is dispersed, I realized again that there is a disadvantage that I have to reduce each element and the degree of completion a little.

Thank you for reading this far!
