Lol sorry I meant to say in this kdrama “world” ik nothing was romantic about the monarchy back then, sometimes even now. I get what u meant tho

Regarding WooHee and BaekAh situations. She had the King write out the declarations on 27:11. The king wrote that out because she said she could save BaekAh from fighting since the King knew the other princes only mentioned BaekAh to fight so that he could die in the battle. King didn't know she was planning to die. tbh, I don't think she had to die, but the powerful families would not have been happy with those declarations, so something must have been done. She felt like she was betraying her people, by being the only one who was getting a better life. To get ready to marry BaekAh, she "betrayed" her family by getting adopted into a relatively powerful family that is from Goryeo and not from Baekje people. She wasn't happy that she was turning her back on her people and living this lie (she is not a Baekje person but from a powerful Goryeo family), so she thought the only thing she could do is have the king write out the declarations so that her people can live as they want and end the battles between the 2 kindgoms because she was the last living royal from Baekje. Once she is dead, there is no threat of Baekje rising again, and her people can become citizens of Goryeo. At least this is my take on the whole situation.

Yea right. In actual history also 4th King Gwangjong married the princess, his half sister, to avoid an increase in the power and in the influence of noble families and to keep the power inside the Royal family itself.

You know Lee Joongi (Wang So actor) recently went to IU’s (HaeSoo) concert and he posted pics on his insta. He even had IU’s light stick. Hehe. So cute. —————— I’m a bit confused with the whole WooHee and BaekAh situation. Uhm why did she die? Like what use was it? And what did she get signed or written out by the King? What did the king know? I’m confused lol. —————— Lol that’s so true. It’s all cuz of HaeSoo 😂🤣 —————— 1:02:00 Dude Kevin I was thinking the same thing 5 min back and you said it. I was legit thinking remember when this drama was all fun and joy. It’s so dark and sad now. 😂 —————— You guys taking a go at HaeSoo is such a mood. I’m so with you tbh 😂 not to offend anyone lol. Like you guys saying Is HaeSoo the actual villain? How was she in her last relationship? She’s so complicated. 😂 Such a mood. 🤣💯 I’m so glad I didn’t watch this episode before hand and watched it with you guys. You guys made it bearable 😂 —————— I agree this drama is written well tho. —————— Also I just noticed that the couples who end up spending time in that Damiwon bath place area end up breaking up or they spend time there just before they break up lol. Eun and his wife had a great time there and also kissed and then died. Then Baek Ah and his girl also spent time there and kissed and then she died. 🤭 —————— Also I think this drama is also based on a Chinese novel. And that Chinese novel also has a Chinese drama based on called Scarlet Heart. And that had a season 2. But the Korean one only has 1 season.

To clear some things up. Hae Soo didn’t ask Wook to confess, the princess did. She knew if the king knew of Soo’s n Wook’s past relationship, he would see her in a completely different light, and “throw her away”. when he confronted Soo he started to reanalyze every little interaction between the Wook n her. One of them being, her getting down on her knees for Wook’s mercy. The King now saw it as Soo trying to protect her lover. She didn’t have any remaining feelings for Wook, but bc she didn’t try to deny or explain herself, the king saw it as her still having feelings. Heck, even we the viewers thought for a split second, “does she still like Wook?” So imagine how the King felt. I believe she didn’t explain herself bc she knew that would be the only way the king would let her go. “She threw me away” the king said. Soo could’ve easily lied, or as you guys mentioned, explained herself, but she didn’t. Ultimately it was her decision to make. The 4th prince was always destined to be King, he was Alr written in history before Soo arrived. But Soo did the mistake of getting involved. The astronomer told her in the beginning, she must not get involved. We all know by now, she got HEAVILY involved, it was the littles things she said or did that altered history, such as Wook getting heavenly involved with the throne thus the crown prince and Beaks death. Btw am I the only who wonders what relationship the Princess and the 4th prince would’ve had if Soo hadn’t entered their lives? The princess n 4th prince were always going to get married as shown in history. But dare I say, I believed they would’ve gotten along, both very ambitious ppl. Not to mention she always had a crush on him. Anyway enjoy the final ep, hope u guys like it

This episode made me feel sad, excited, conflicted, and uneasy back to back. When do you guys record the videos to post I wrote a long essay last episode lol and you guys didn't read it lmao. Ig I was too late lmao. I just overall never trusted Wook he was being procieved as to nice, I knew there was gonna be a flip. I wanted to trust Hae soo's friend but everything she would say seemed like a lie. Even when she said she couldn't read at that moment I felt weird because her body language made it seem like she was lying so I was confused. And props to the actor for being able to do that. But I always had an idea that she was doing that to save her family or something, so I was kinda rooting for her. Wasn't surprised that she died tho. Anyways love the fact that David said exactly what I was thinking Beak uh is dead. I was ready. But of course, the one time I fully get myself prepared for someone's death a complete twist happens, I'm kinda mad at her for killing herself. I also wanted to say happy late birthday and was wondering if you were also part of the September gang Kevin my birthday was the 1st. Lastly, you mentioned this in a later episode. You're correct if you are an Idol you won't make it to the end of the drama. BUt!! that's unless you are Cha Eun-woo. You can not convince me that he's also a full-time idol. This guy is everywhere in the acting industry and it's creepy.

The final episode is finally here! Guys, near the end of the final episode, the screen freezes on the 4th king's face for a few seconds too long & lots of people think the drama ends there but it DOES NOT!! The drama ends with a scene of Hae Soo & the king together with EXO-CBX song as background song. Anyways, I wanted to know your opinion on which prince deserved Hae Soo's love more? For me, I think it was the 14th prince, Jung. His love for Hae Soo was so selfless. He loved her for a long time & watched his older brothers fall in love with her & yet he never confessed to her as he didn't wanted to burden her with her feelings. He also had the doctrine of marriage for a long time but never used it for his advantage. He waited until she wanted to leave the palace before he risked his life by coming out of exile & getting her out. And u will see in this episode how much he cared for her without wanting anything in return. An important note, that will help u understand a scene in the final episode is that Hae Soo has been writing on top of the king's hand written poem for years. For this reason, Hae Soo's handwriting looks the same as the kings. At that time, copying & having the same handwriting as the king was seen as a treason as someone with the same handwriting as the king can easily write doctrine under the king's name. That is why u will see the 14th prince sending Hae Soo's letter inside an envelop under his name so that Hae Soo doesn't get in trouble. I was watching this drama when it was being aired & the translation for some scenes were a bit different. In the scene where the 8th prince hugged Hae Soo at the end of 19 episode, he said to her, "Our intertwined fate ends here" which I found a bit bittersweet. I hated him but for a few seconds, I found the scene strangely sweet. They acknowledged their shared past that was filled with love and pain and now it has finally came to an end. Hae Soo saved the 8th prince from death penalty & in return 8th prince gave Hae Soo her freedom by confessing to the king. He risked angering the king again. I don't think the 8th prince confessed because the Queen asked for it. The 8th prince knew that his sister threw him away, I don't think he felt any obligation towards her to help. He did it for Hae Soo. I also found a bit frustrating as they were so many couples in this drama & none of them end up with the person they loved. Just think about it. Literally none of them got the love of their life.
