As annoyed as some fans were with DoniConi's antics of "not understanding NCT" that's actually what helped me learn NCT when I first got in to them so I'm actually glad they kept that part in the episode. Actually this episode in general was what I used to learn NCT members when I first got in to them. I'd watch it every time I think I've learned a few names/faces and then came back to the episode to see how many more faces I could recognize. At the time, this was a very helpful episode for beginers to learn about the group and a bit about the members. But so much about NCT has changed since this episode aired: - Winwin being inactive in 127, -Jungwoo being added to 127 -Every member now has participated in NCT U -NCT Dream no longer having a graduation concept -Taeyong being the official leader of NCT as a whole -Mark is unofficially the official leader of Deam -WayV debuted and Kun is the leader of WayV, Lucas, Ten, Winwin being added to WayV - 5 more members since this episode So I can see why the episode has become more confusing than helpful. As for if there's any other group like NCT, in Kpop, not really. There isn't any group that has like a large pool of members that they continuously add to and they promote almost exclusively in sub-units. But there have been groups out there like NCT Dream's old concept where they group is always there but they'd continuously add members over time as others leave. Off the top of my head, examples of those kinds of groups are After School and 9Muses, however both of those groups did eventually stop adding members and disbanded. NCT's type of set up is actually somewhat similar to J-pop group AKB48 (and it's sister groups), where they have a large pool of idols under the AKB48 name, but they're split into smaller A, K, B, 4, 8 Teams and the next members get added over time as the older ones "graduate" from the group.
