The cinema lights dimmed as the final credits rolled,an empty theater, save for two silhouettes in the back row. Makima crossed her legs primly, her sharp eyes gleaming in the flickering light.

"You came." Her voice was smooth, deliberate, like she'd already won.

Her "friend" shifted in his seat. He'd thought this was just a movie night, a casual escape after her crushing week at Public Safety. But Makima never did anything casually.

"You know why you're really here," she murmured, fingers tracing the armrest between them a silent command more than an invitation. He did. Word had reached her ears: his skill, his size, a rare combination worth her… attention.

The screen went black.

When the projector whirred back to life, Makima’s lips curled into a faint, satisfied smile business concluded. . .

エンドロールが流れると、映画館の照明が暗くなり、後列に二人の影だけが残っていた。マキマは上品ぶって足を組み、鋭い目が揺らめく光の中で輝いていた。

「来てくれたのね」彼女の声は滑らかで、熟考に満ちていて、まるで既に勝利を掴んでいるかのようだった。

彼女の「友人」は席で体を動かした。彼はこれがただの映画鑑賞の夜、公安での過酷な一週間の後の気ままな逃避だと思っていた。しかし、マキマは決して気楽なことはしない。

「本当はなぜここにいるのか分かっているでしょ」と彼女は呟き、二人の間の肘掛けを指でなぞった。それは誘いというよりも、静かな命令だった。彼は分かっていた。彼の腕前、彼の体格、その稀有な組み合わせは、彼女の…注目に値する。

スクリーンが暗転した。

プロジェクターが再び動き出すと、マキマの唇はかすかに満足げな笑みを浮かべた。仕事は終わった。

Hiii guys! Just a little update!

Unfortunately, I won’t be able to post this weekend, but I’ve got big news for you instead!

First off, the new PC should arrive tomorrow or by Monday, so starting next week (not the one coming, but the one after) I’ll finally resume the mega sets and start going through all pending mega requests!

I’m really hoping this upgrade will improve my workflow and cut down the time I need to complete each set.
Actually… I was thinking, what if instead of bigger sets, I started posting twice a day? That way, I could go through requests faster and the queue would move twice as quickly. We’ll see how it goes once I test out the new setup.

Now for the biggest news of today:
To celebrate the fact that we’re almost at 900 free followers, I’ve decided that the next comic will be 100% FREE for everyone, even free-tier members! 🎉
This will happen next week, though I’m still figuring out the exact details, I’ll probably explain more on Monday.

I had a few more things I wanted to share, but of course, I forgot them mid-thought lol 😅
