its charcoal, when burned it releases carbon monoxide. which basically replaces the the oxygen in the blood causing you to pass out then you would be dead within 5-15 minutes. This is how a lot of people commit suicide. Especially in Korea. because coal is always available due to stoves and stuff.

Lady G

It's coal. Apparently, burning coal while sitting in a car is the go-to suicide method for KDramas...

The CC is verbatim what the English Dub version says... So basically the English Dub version ruined it too... I'm like: "It's DUBBED... Just read the English Subtitles... It doesn't need to make reflect living in the US or something. It's based in KOREA... They are speaking KOREAN... Granted, the evil guy switching between Korean and English won't make much sense, but you could always give him a country accent or something to fix that...

1 gold bar = $750,000

Destorer5000

"Have you ever killed a person?" "No." Let's be honest... That's a stupid question... WHO in their right mind, ESPECIALLY a LAWYER, would confess to committing murder?!?

Destorer5000

When my friend made my YouTube account (back in like... 1st grade), she made me like 100 years old....

Destorer5000

The scene where they decided to call "Babel's Boss" "Babo" is even funnier to me now... Why? 1) Devin kept calling Babel "Babo" 2) "Babo" means "idiot" in Korean 3) Devin didn't realize these things AT ALL Kevin: "It's cheesy..."

Destorer5000

Devin: "I feel bad for him... It was heartbreaking..." Me: "I laughed at him... It was hilarious..."

So about the sweet potatoes, in Korea, they often use sweet potatoes as an expression/symbolism of frustration. it comes from the feeling you get when you eat sweet potatoes without water, it's so dry that you kind of choke(?) anyway, that's why they showed sweet potatoes whenever things do not go well like when the prosecutor didn't agree with their way of doing things. Not very important info but just wanted to explain since you guys seems a bit confused haha

I'm so glad you guys FINALLY saw that comment... That whole you liking her so you don't know who to cheer for thing was RUINING EVERYTHING....

There was happening so much in that episode. Yes...he named the pigeon after a famous Italian football player or for you guys, soccer player. I met him once when I was a kid. My biological father is from Sardinia. So I have family there. When we went on vacation there to see them, we of course went to the beach. He was jet skiing there and my father was a huge fan...so he took a picture with him. Director Gil wasn't the prosecutor they were negotiating with...it was that doctor who was protected by the prosecutor and his team. The victims families died of carbon monoxide poisoning. They will explain it in full length next episode. Their passing was one of the saddest for me ๐Ÿ˜ฅ even though you couldn't really build a connection to them as a viewer...but still...maybe it was bc they were the most innocent ppl in that series. The treasure hunt for the gold just started...it will get more and more ridiculous ๐Ÿ˜‚. Have a great break and energise ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿป. Love you guys ๐Ÿ’œ ๐Ÿ’œ

"Thank you for commenting again, Destorer." "Dah~! Don't mention it. I mostly do it for myself anyway..." I'm half joking

Destorer5000

Since they showed it at the end I think I can talk about it since you are confused (They do mention it/show it in the next episode as well if I remember correctly). What was burning in the car was coal (mixed with some other thing by the looks of it). In South Korea they sell these coal bricks that people use to heat up their houses, fires and other stuff. When you burn coal it produces carbon monoxide/dioxide and other gases. What makes this even sadder is that these people were the first good people that Cha-Young had helped and also the first to sincerely thank her. Before she represented the not so good people and companies which obviously only wanted to be cleared for their crimes and didn't care about her.

He wasn't left at the orphanage straight after he was born. My guess is that he was at least 6-7 years old cause he understood what the mom was saying to him and he looked closer to that age in the flashback we saw (He was adopted at the age of 8). Don't know Vincenzos age but Song Joong-Ki (the actor) is born in -85 which makes him 36. I think that Vincenzo is around that age as well.

If the subtitles aren't correct it destroys the whole experience, like you won't get what is happening. Why is even the closed captions an option when there is english subtitles that are perfectly fine and correct?!? Can't imagine how many there are that have watched it with CC and gotten the drama destroyed ๐Ÿ‘Ž๐Ÿป Luckily you changed it after the first episode. Have you rewatched the first episode on you own with the correct translation??

Ida Jansson

Jang Jun-woo, your CRAZY is showing !! This is only the beginning

Ida Jansson

I suggest you guys to watch the space sweepers, song joong ki (vincenzo) star in that movie , it's very good in my opinion, but the story is a little confusing, but it's a good show
