Since this is my second time watching this drama, I know why I keep watching, but I think that the first time, at least at first, the storytelling is what kept drawing me in, and, although there is not a clear mystery like in HIP, there is some aura of wanting to find answers. I don't think this is a spoiler but you can skip this next part if you'd like: when I watched this the first time, I was pretty much satisfied with the ending, but to be honest, there were still quite a few unanswered questions for me; I think some of them were on purpose, but to some extent, it did feel like there were a few holes in the plot, so yeah, I do get that about not knowing the exact purpose of this drama.
Also, in Jinyoung's new drama, Devil's Judge, the actress that plays Juri here will be playing Jinyoung's love interest/costar!

Not a spoiler or anything but if David or Kevin is reading this, better not to continue doing it just to be safe haha. I guess at the end of the day is just different opinions or perceptions. I got the "healing" process from each episode and from each patient in the hospital as the episodes went on. I saw how with each episode they slowly started to change, be it their actions towards others or towards their view of themselves. Of course because there's this mystery going on about the mother and the father, my thoughts sometimes got sidetracked focusing more on that instead of the healing, but by the end of the drama I saw how many of the characters had changed and I honestly felt a connection with them through the whole journey/drama. But I guess every person experiences each drama differently. For me, each episode actually helped me a lot because I got to find things about my self that I was neglecting or too afraid to confront and actually helped me overcome some things while I was going thru a rough patch. And that was all on my first watch of the drama. But yeah, it's also valid to think the drama has another purpose or to get confused, I think it just depends on who's watching and what you take from it :)

Well the actors describe it as a human healing drama while doing the promotions for the show. We are all at different stages in our lives and sometimes certain elements draw us in or they donโt. For me itโs the former. I find the show to be poignant, beautiful, with terrific storytelling.

I know that. I've watched the entire drama. What I mean is that when watching it for the first time, you don't know if they'll heal at all (They may, they may not. No spoilers). The "point" of the drama is the reason you keep watching. It's what you're waiting for every episode.
There is nothing like that except a slight curiosity...
At the end of this drama, I honestly felt like: "That's it? What was the point of that?"

People don't heal from one day to another. Healing takes time. What the description of the drama refers to as "healing" is that you will slowly see the characters in their process to becoming a better version of themselves. But we are just on episode 6, there's still a looong way to go and there's still a lot to see :)

Personally...
I don't think this drama is about healing...
You don't watch the next episode because you wanna see if they'll be healed...
I still don't understand the purpose...
My best guess would be that you're trying to figure out what's going on and how everything connects to the past....

What I LOVE about this drama are the characters and stories. I think it's an unconventional drama in that its characters are more realistic. I can't spoil too much but with one exception, no one is a true good or bad guy. Everyone is flawed and has their good, bad, and ugly moments. I said before the drama is about healing but also growth. You need to remember how the characters begin this drama and how they grow and evolve. They achieve this not by avoiding and running away which the Moon brothers do. Moon-young literally and figuratively pushes everyone away in her life too. So when everyone stops pushing and running and confronts their traumas, their past, and their fears, they can begin to overcome them, heal, and grow as people. They then forge this new family. All of them are going through life at this point without parents. Moon-young's dad is alive but in the first episode, she calls herself an orphan because he is an empty shell to her and is basically dead anyways. There so much I can say but I don't want to spoil too much. The show just gets better and better and you will fall in love with each of the characters. The finale is so satisfying. I can't wait to watch more with you.

Yeah i agree. Plus, the same stories can be viewed differently depending on different perspectives. Like outsiders might see some characters as wicked, but from those characters' viewpoints they are just protecting themselves and family.

That's one of the reasons I love this drama so far! The way they portray different mental health problems and focus on that it's all okay. They don't blame the person for the way they are or act. They all have a history and a reason for their mental state. Absolutely beautiful.

Yes, Ko Munyeong is manipulative, plus she also has personality disorder which stems from childhood trauma. I understand your confusion on her parents, like who was good who was bad. But remember that in this drama everyone is flawed, and there are explanations on how they behave the way they do, so please watch till the end ^^
Also, this drama is not only about the 3 main characters, but also the healing of the patients in that hospital as well. And in order to overcome one's trauma, they have to face it and accept the reality, otherwise they will never grow out of it and be forever trapped inside the beautiful memories in their head that are no longer there. I guess that's where the story is leading us.
Hope that helps.

Every time I see the flashbacks, I just feel so sorry for the boys. A lot of problems here comes from bad parenting, it can be seen with Munyeong and her family mystery and Gangtae and Sangtae with their mother not being able to find a proper balance between showing the love for both of them (I do feel sorry for the mother too considering her circumstances, but some things like being so bent on prioritizing Sangtae so much when you start neglecting your other child and going so far as to make Sangtae the centre of his world is something that could have been avoided). Although what I really like about this show is that no character is only black or only white, this drama probably has one of the best character development stories I have seen in a while.
And the part about her being manipulative, yes, she is very manipulative, which can be seen from the beginning actually but they just hint at it here and there and in this episode it was really blunt. And while being manipulative, as well as being aggressive in expressing her interest is definitely not something good, when I first watched it I was really curious to see what made her what she is today and how much she would change.

I'm guessing that the part of the contract that was read by the brothers voice was what he wanted. You can see that a part is marked over and I'm guessing that it said something about payment. But Sang Tae wanted a camping van instead so she changed the contract so that he would sign it.

I watched this episode yesterday and i cried๐ข It was so sad...
And the reason I watch it beforehand is so that I can focus better on you reaction. Does that make any sense?
