that's kind of why i stopped watching the show at episode 10 (same as magical creature), guensoo's sympathy for his dad was so out of character and felt weird? Like we never had ANY indication that he actually loved his father. Since we first met Guensoo, he was very independent and sure of never taking anything from his 'family'. Guensoo was shy and soft spoken, a bit of a pushover, but mainly towards Yiseo. He never was shy about telling his dad and family off, and he always stood his ground. He literally moved out and got a job. It would make more sense if he still lived with them and had some connection to his family, but he doesn't. Idk it felt weird and off to me. Also, since the court was this episode, i didnt have much reason to continue on with the show. But i managed to finish it a couple weeks ago, finally, cause i wanted to catch up for your reactions lol.

Oh man, I'm mad that they didn't take SRY's opinion seriously when he said the chairman would abandon his son. They've worked so hard to achieve their goal. They should've had back up plans. They should've paid more attention to SRY's point, instead of asking him to be realistic. Like, it wouldn't hurt to consider it, right? and come up with some sort of plan to counter it, in case that really happens. I mean like that's the most realistic thinking in their situation. You can never be too confident that things will go the way you expect it to be. Now that the chairman is having a press conference, displaying his utmost 'guilt and regret' for what his son has done (totally abandoning his own blood), how's that for realistic huh? And looking at Soo Ah during the press conference, I don't think she bought any of the things that sneaky old man said. She was just soooo dumbfounded by the fact that he dumped it all on his son after 'don't ever tell me to abandon my family' talk they had earlier.

Loved your reaction as usual. After this episodes it will be also my first time watching cuz when itaewon class was aring i kinda droped it at ep 10 dunno why but it is fun watching with u guys lots of love and Jang Geun Won is batshit crazy i think his conscience left with the chicken strangeling i still see nightmares ughhh. I kinda like that u guys have one modern drama and one historical going on at the moment its a nice balance if i could suggest for the historical one Scarlet heart ryeo its an amazing drama with leads like IU and Lee Joongi also Baekhyun is in it plus alot of star power that can act very well and for the modern one maybe strong woman do bongsoo it is a funny lighthearted drama and i think David would like it a lot. Also for the modern drama maybe Its Ok Not To Be Ok it is an masterpiece like daamn it just aired its last episode and also it was the comeback drama after the military for the kdrama king and also the highest paid korean actor Kim Soo Hyun. Why im i up this late just watching ur content like i got school tomorrow oh well. this comment is very allover the places but STAY SAFE and stan devin for the sake of the chickens that were abused by Jang Geung Won loool.

Magical Creature

This three dramas are definitely my top 3 right now as well! 💜 I also hope that more great dramas keep coming, because now that It's ok to not be ok has ended, I've been left with a big hole in my heart that I need to feel with more awesome dramas haha

Tbh as much as I hate Jan Geun-won, in some ways I feel a bit bad for him, the reason he turned out the way he has is because of his father. And in some scenes like the chicken killing scene and the scene where he tells his dad he wants to stop Saeroyi going to jail for beating him up and in some other scenes you can tell he has/had a conscience it was just basically beaten out of him by his dad. I feel like he would have confessed if it weren't for his dad pushing to cover it up back then and then when it no longer suits his dad, he throws Geun-won under the bus.

Of course the Jang family, with the younger brother being an exception, is trash but lowkey wanna try their food just to see how good it really is lol. It's also so crazy to me that this rich family dynamic is actually a real thing in Korea. A couple years ago the daughter of the Korea Air CEO was under fire for mistreating a flt around and turning the whole commercial airplane she was on (with 100s of passengers) around because the flt attendant served her peanuts in the package instead of on a plate. I think there's a video of her berating and assaulting the poor guy just because of that, then she made the pilot turn the plane around to replace the flt attendant. The daughter of Samsung did something bratty and crazy like that too a while back. It seems like if you're rich in Korea, your parents don't discipline you and you're above the law smh

I really love this series man. Not only is it the first series I've where they have a foreigner with a recurring role but he's also black. And not only that, they show a bit about how foreigners, especially black foreigners, are treated in Korea. Then on top of that, his Korean is so good. I'm currently learning Korean and his Korean is top notch imo. Netflix is truly amazing for giving the producer so much liberty because i highly doubt a show like this show would have been on Korean TV anytime soon. Not only foreigners love it but Koreans also love it. That being said, i really can't stand Soo Ah. I fail to understand how anyone could like her and root for her. She is the most disloyal character i've ever seen in a drama. Saeroyi's dad did so much for her, even if Saeroyyi wasn't as good a person as he is and undeserving of all of this abuse, that alone should've been enough for her to not take the chairman's offer. Then on top of that, she reports everything she hears at DanBam to him then has the nerve to act like she's an innocent bystander in the middle of all of it. No bitch, you're a snake. Yi Seo has her issues but at least she's loyal to Saeroyi and that's why i like her more for him. Soo Ah can never be trusted. Her loyalties lie wherever the money is. As much as i enjoy watching Soo Ah reject Geun Won, it would've made more sense to me that she would date him since she's only for the money. Then drop him as soon as she knew he was going down.

English is my second language and actually what I think helped me out a lot to improve my skills (at least in writing) was anime roleplaying 🤣 YES, a very geeky approach. Back in Junior High I used Gaia Online A LOT. I was part of the roleplaying forums. You had to create your character, their skills, personality, etc. But the difficult part was actually the written roleplay itself. You can't just write things like: "She entered the room" "She gasped" "She attacked"....you had to get creative and actually make sense or the admins will report you and kick you out of the forum haha. I had to LEARN a lot of adjetives, vocabulary and had to read a lot for my scenarios to make sense. I also had to make an extensive research in Naruto Techniques to be able to counter other roler's attack's 🤣 It was really fun back then. So maybe Kevin, you can find a fun activity and mix it out with learning something. It's fun when you do an activity and you will improve without knowing it, like I did with Naruto roleplaying 🤣 Now for the episode. DAYUM! That HUG and then 5 minutes later, BETRAYAL! Even though Geun Won has done terrible things and I hate his guts and his face, I do feel bad for him in some way, because everything that has happened along his life was due to the extremely toxic relationship he has with his father. He never once received fatherly love in his life, only terrible parenting, and just that ONE TIME he was shown some sort of affection (the hug)....ALL FAKE! Jangga CEO was always talking about protecting family and how important it is to him (Which might have been his motivation in the beginning while creating the company), but as years went by, his initial intent got so distorted that in the end, he was left alone with no one to trust but himself. And because the company IS him, Jangga Corp will ultimately come first over anything or anybody, because that's all he has left now, even if that means FAKING EVERYTHING and literally throwing away his son. I'm sure if Jangga CEO had been a better father, nothing would have turned out as it did. PLOT TWISTS! Though I'm glad we finally get to see Geun Won turn himself in, after ALL these years. Bad parenting or not, in this reality, he committed a crime, so he has to face the consequences. I always find it funny when actors have to act that they are someone who's acting (Jangga CEO), is like actception haha If I can barely be myself, I just find it impressive that someone can act like someone else being some else without getting confused! Props to actors! And poor Saeroyi man, I just want him to be happy. WHY THEM MESSING WITH MY BABY LIKE THAT ALL THE TIME! Let the man have a rest and some peace and quiet for once, for duck's sake! Anyways, thank you guys for this week's reaction! Everything is getting better over here so I hope you guys are doing good too. See you on Hwarang's episode and I send you lot's of love and a virtual hug! Take care everyone! 💜
