AGUST D-2 MIXTAPE | NSD REVIEW

Comments

I finally had time to watch it. Yoongi...Yoongi...Yoongi. I adore and admire all rappers of BTS for their unique way to express themselves and draw a picture in their own colors and way. But I have to admit that Yoongi has a special place in my heart (not just as my bias wrecker) but as a person who speaks a language in his music that caputures me and my attention. He is raw and not afraid to speak his mind. He doesn't romanticize things...he is just straight and honest. He speaks from experience and his authentic lyrics and views on things make it a lot more real and relatable. The song 28 spoke in a special way to me...I won't say how old I am but I felt what he said. It is a difficult time. You are stuck with work...not a lot of people have the luck to do what they love and are passionate about...I fortunately am this lucky but even I am frustrated and tired when I come home sometimes. You are in a loop and you forget the things that make you happy...like hobbies or dreams. You simply don't have time for that and people don't think it is really adult like. I feel that I am still stuck in-between. A lot of people can't tell how old I am. I don't know if I should take it as a compliment that I still look young or does it mean that I don't act my age. It's a weird state to be in. When I was younger it was easier to point out the things that make you an adult...now being an adult it gets harder to get a grip of these things. He touched me deep with this mixtape. He has a gift and I am so happy that I get to be part of his journey in some way. He is an inspiration to me. I loved your reaction and how the songs got you. Love you guys 💜💜

Ya'll should've just stuck to colour coded. This kind of took away from the reaction and u guys missed a lot of stuff you wouldn't usually like key lyrics and phrases. Suggestion for next time: maybe just use this to read the background part about the track and then use the colour coded for the lyrics. If you're worried about the colour coded being correct, just wait a week before making the video cuz the colour coded ones usually correct themselves by then. Also listening to the spotify version first is great to boost streaming, so what other reactors usually do is, they make a first reaction with the spotify tracks and react to the songs based on how they sound, and then later do the colour coded for the lyrics

For me, I feel like, we'll fly through our childhood into our teen years and before we know it, adulthood is there waiting for us, it'll depend but for those who felt like they had to learn and grow up into an adult before adulthood had a chance to appear, it will be tough for those to find themselves. I don't know if that's right or wrong but that's just how I feel about the song "28" and I am not at that age yet but it won't be long, five years could go flying pass and I will nearly be on the doorstep of my 30s, just like that, in a flash too.

That translations for People were really bad so you should definitely read some other ones.

I'm not finish watching your reaction yet, but I'm gonna say this before I forget it later haha. His lyrics hits home. Like although he somewhat talks about different things in each track, you can still relate and reflect. maybe because, it's real.

Great reaction guys, I think the description of raw for this album is a good one. The first Agust D album was also raw with personal messages and lyrics, but I think this album showed how much he has grown as a producer and as a person towards adulthood as well. I also like it when you get the synopsis of a song, but the best thing about music is how it can be interpreted differently but still give personal meaning to the listener! I enjoy hearing your thoughts since it can let me see a song in a different way as well. Great thing about Yoongi lyrics, they always make people think and discuss things. Favorite tracks I think are People and Set Me Free, I love it when he sings in his songs and they showed his improvement with his vocals.

I loved the Mixtape!! this touches multiple emotions! I loved watching it with you guys! I was too hyped up yesterday (constant streaming of daechitwa), this hits really deeper when you listen to it all calmed down! Him talking about having not many friends and do normal things in last episode of Break the Silence and then few lyrics of these mixtape... its a lot.. but i think he did mention somewhere there is few things he wrote few years back - and he is way more happier now!

wows, yeah I forgot how much Yoongi's lyrics resonate with me and personal experiences. I was so ready to hear him roast people and completely forgot how raw and open he is in his music so I was caught off guard and cried lol. I love how you guys really analyzed and read over the lyrics and what they meant, and the fact that y'all appreciate him as a producer and a songwriter oof y'all are true army. Fr love y'all stay safe! :)

05:44 - "if you think you're gonna crash, accelerate even harder, you idiot" that's from Suga's intro to HYYH pt 2. The song is called 'Nevermind.' Good ear, Kevin!
