Future Changes to Patreon Structure
Added 2024-08-03 06:02:10 +0000 UTCMy payouts have been suspended on Gumroad, so there is no point in selling my projects on Gumroad anymore. Some of you may have noticed I've changed the prices on them, because I do not want anybody to buy from Gumroad at the moment. However It does appear that I can still distribute files on Gumroad through discount codes, so I may keep doing that until I have a more solid plan. At the moment I am testing Artstation.com and waiting on an approval with Cuberush.co. Gumroad was nice because of the coupon customization that helped me distribute specific tier rewards with ease that I couldn't find elsewhere. I've looked at Itch.io and it doesn't feel intuitive to me, it's a platform meant for video games. I have updated CGTrader with all of the past projects so everybody can just buy from there instead. I'll also probably integrate Cults3D at some point. Everything will take some time to migrate.
The merchant tier on Gumroad is another issue. All current merchants should cancel their subscription on Gumroad and make sure to save a receipt for future reference. I am considering changing my Patreon structure to a monthly billing cycle to simplify the process and simply just adding a merchant tier. I may also delete Tier One so that I can just lump all of the rewards into one, it's easier for me to manage too.
Summary:
-Use Artstation or Cuberush instead of Gumroad in the future.
-Chanage Patreon payment structure to automatic monthly.
-Remove tier one, add merchant tier.

The fact you've been suspended for 10 days on Gumroad should not deter you from keep posting your files there. Just do not upload any 'revealing' pics, and maybe even change the name of the files so it doesnt trigger any copyright (I doubt this last part, as all the other creators I follow and post on Gumroad do not care about changing the name). This was a public issue a few months ago, where many creators decided no to include any risky pics of the characters since was going against Gumroad's policies. A few also opted for not using the word 'NSFW' and using 'Extra Files' instead. It's just 10 days, all of your followers will understand the small hiccup. No need to go through such dramatic change. And it's nice to keep all the files in one platform rather than 5 different ones. Just my two cents!
