2025-05-19 10:26:15 +0000 UTCThe english system has always had american owners and investors, but it's always been finance guys and CEO types, and it's always been for premier league level teams. Rob & Ryan were the first to come in as "outsiders," invest in lower leagues, and be massively successful. Tom Brady came in after them, along with people like JJ Watt and Dude perfect, who have started investing in other teams. A lot of them credit Rob, Ryan, and Wrexham for influencing their decision. I also want to say my favorite part of this episode was hearing the townsfolk at the beginning. Go back to S1 and you can see the stark difference in attitude, the same townspeople who were tired and weary are now on cloud 9. That injection of hope is so awesome to see first hand through this doc
