I feel late to this, but oh well..as a Christian, this conversation was hilarious to listen to😂😂 I can see Jesus being a cleric, though he did flip some tables. A Jesus anime would be crazy, I have heard of some independent artists wanting to do one as well as a game, I believe. Also, I recommend the Prince of Egypt movie, great animated movie, and the Chosen if you want some accuracy. Also, so real with the Rick Riordan things.

I’m actually really impressed with what he managed to come up with; it’s easily one of my top 3 favorite pieces of Riptide lore so far.

Drey no longer can use his arms and thus isn't a sharpshooter, and now Finn is slowly losing his memory and wisdom. So I think Arlin is just suffering without his strength.

2023-02-06 10:51:46 +0000 UTCI wanted to mention this but I'm glad it was addressed in the Rolled, but Finn Tidestrider's condition reminds me of what it's like to suffer from dementia. I personally don't have dementia, but I did have family who would suffer from it. And even though you guys said it wasn't based on any sort of real life mental illness I thought I'd give a bit of thought on the matter anyway since it was brought up. Dementia as an illness is more than just forgetting some sort of memory (at least as far as I understand it). While you would forget what is happening around you as they deteriorate, you end up trapped in your own mind, reliving those memories in real time as you're forgetting them. While I know Finn doesn't have dementia, the way he's portray at least shows similarities. In the mind-meld/memory zone, you saw him repeating himself, taking notice of Gillion a few times as if for the first time as his memories faded, almost pushing him back into that same mental state each time to relive it. And after he was awoken, he wouldn't say much, which is something I noticed in my family. They'd be present physically, but mentally they're struggling to comprehend and looking around in a daze as if they should know what's going on, but don't. As I've repeated before, Finn does not have dementia. The real condition is far too nuance and affected by media to ever have a good depiction. However, Finn's character gives me a sense of security in a way and how Grizzly played him was great from my personal experience. Side note I thought I should include here since it's on topic. If you want a better understanding on how it feels to have a mental issue like this, listen to the album "Everywhere at the End of Time". It's a great, unsettling musical idea of how it feels to go through the stages of dementia. It helped to broaden my understanding, so I recommend it for anyone looking into this sort of subject

What if they got cursed and now can’t remember what they used to be! Also The guarding giant has to be Arlin bc he’s a Goliath and that kinda a synonym for giant and the Nameless prince gotta be Chip bc he literally doesn’t have a name, he knows celestial for some reason, he seems to have originally been from the Sakura sea, and he has no clue about his past or who his parents were. The unborn kings can have to do with literal unborn babies OR it could be someone who isn’t realized yet. Like the only person we were aware to be pregnant was Abigail from Lofinlott and while I think that’s viable, it could just be someone they haven’t met yet. Either way it’s fuckin tight. Also I absolutely don’t think they should make Alphonse the ship bc that would be against the entire reason he became a pirate

I feel like the crew turning him into the boat is the first step to him becoming antagonistic. Either way no matter where his arc goes I am so excited that he’s getting a bit more of the spotlight as the crew tries to work something out for him.
