I wonder if that is what will ultimately make Dakota's decision. He is a very selfless person, so he is thinking about it more as "I don't want to be selfish and go against my morals or hurt people to keep being a hero just because I like it." But I think if he reflects more on why he became a hero, it was never about the glory or fun (at his core at least; on a more surface level, of course, he does strive to be like the heroes he idolized for fanboy reasons as well), but really it was because he wanted to have the ability to save people. So I think you're very right--Dakota can't lose his powers. Not for himself, but for the people that they help him protect.

While idk what dakota will do. I know grizz has talked about how he wants dakota to be the strongest. Specifically he saud something about how he wants dakota to fufill a superhero power fantasy, or something along those lines. One thing im sure of, is that if dakota gets rid of these powers and he fails to save someone he will never be able to forgive himself

William is gonna clip through the floor immediately as soon as Dakota makes a choice, cuz he's not gonna choose to keep his powers and get new bones so Will is gonna doing a prison break

Another banger episode. I think the conflict dakota is faced with now is gonna really let his character- and sense of morals-shine. Especially since having powers- and being a hero- is something dakota prides himself on. It’d be interesting to see if Dakota would have made a different choice (keep powers, die) if he hadn’t spoken to his aunt last episode- since I feel like that is/will have a very direct impact on the choice dakota makes now.
