I remember 2 years ago when it was first coming out I decided to take walks around my neighborhood, and listen to the podcast. The gloomy windy weather mixed with the masterful storytelling made this campaign really something special to me. Since then I’ve decided to listen to Blood in the Bayou all the way through every October. I doubt y’all will see this but I just wanted to say thanks for helping me turn something as simple as walking around my neighborhood into something truly special.

2023-04-11 05:28:39 +0000 UTCi gotta say, i never expected this level of sheer quality from a dnd-like campaign. charlies ability to create the most horrifying and sickening concepts/creatures using audio alone is masterful. all of the players were absolutely phenomenal, and condis character was especially great. i do think condi is one of the more quiet players in other campaigns, but here he really shines. the story literally could not have had a more perfect ending than that, absolutely beautiful. and top all of that off with grizzlys song, which was absolute fucking fire. absolute fucking props to the entire jrwi crew for managing to make a campaign better than most horror media ive ever seen.

Having only just finished it now, I can say that this is by far the most chills anything horror has given me in a long time. Not only that but the charming characters, the creatures and their descriptions, the ambience, the hints given throughout the story - all of it flowed so nicely together and made me feel like I was gonna be sucked into the fleshy membrane with the rest of Galloway. SO looking forward to seeing more, especially with Call of Cthulhu. (Not to mention the credits song, holy shit it goes hard).

I have loved lovecraftian horror and have watched other people do call of cuthulu campaigns but this is the best I've heard, and the only thing in ages that genuinely scared the crap out of me and made me laugh. I have been a fan of charlie for awhile but did not expect him to be so good at being a horror DM. Really hope you do more call of cuthulu.

I've been on the edge of my seat for the past several days binging through these episodes, and the payoff for it at the end was so fucking worth all the trauma and constant terror Charlie forced us through at every possible moment. Charlie was a fantastic Keeper, and I absolutely loved how Condi, Grizzly and Bizly played their characters to perfection. I seriously wasn't expecting those plot twists with Rolan and Kian, and even though that ending was bittersweet it was so fucking satisfying, because they did it. Despite everything they went through, those three stuck together until the end and they fucking won, even if it was at the cost of themselves. I absolutely loved this campaign, and I'm going to become an alcoholic because of it. Thanks for the trauma, Charlie!

Rand being the only one "Alive" at the end, just feels right to me, he never left Galloway, & he never will, be that through death, or making a life for himself. Also, his sister being alive is frickin awesome, because, in a sense, he gave up everything to save her, even if he didn't know it. Man thinking about the amazing song Grizzly wrote as if it were from the eyes of Rand is just, Man I'm fuckin cryin bro! Thank you Slimecicle for putting together such a horrifying, cool, & moving campaign, & thank you to the players for creating such lovable characters & playing them to perfection! Especially to Grizzly for making a song that I'll have on repeat for a long time! Ps. The ending was so painfully sad but so utterly fulfilling. Btw was that a Grace cameo for the elder brain voice?? AND THE SONG?!?! I need it on Spotify right now so I can scream it on my commute to work. Thank you guys for creating so many worlds and so many stories and so many stupid bits. Im just so delighted. If I sound like a ranting lunatic it’s because it’s 7am and I haven’t slept and I will not sleep for a bit. So technically it’s jrwi’s fault that I am the way that I am at the moment. 2022-10-31 10:41:29 +0000 UTCthis was such an amazing campaign, everything about it from the world building, charlie's keepering, player interactions and gradual storytelling and discovery of the plot, soundtrack, audio editing, sfx, turning people into paste and Bees is something that cannot be put into words. i was hooked for every moment of it. listening through this was like that indescribable feeling of uncovering a piece of art in which every little detail inspires me to create and amazes me no matter how many times i may look at it again. things like the suspense, subtle change of "her" to "it" when the cousin creature was revealed in ep3, even every joke that broke the tension felt like it fit right in, and so much more. I feel like I could rant about it for hours through a sequence of clicking noises everyone did a phenomenal job. genuinely, from the bottom of my big and definitely not bug heart, thanks much for such an amazing experience! I will be listening to Wonderwall by Oasis in an attempt to recover from this miniseries

This inspired me to make a Call of Cthulhu campaign for my friends, and now witnessing this end, I can't even imagine how I'll make something this good. But that doesn't really matter right now, just really, that was such an amazing job to all of you. I loved all the characters so much, the DMing was amazing, I really felt in the moment the whole time. The music was so insanely good as well, it fit so perfectly, both Grizzly's songs and the intro songs and stuff. It was just so amazing, such an amazing experience. We're two campaigns down and hopefully more to come. I love all of you so much, thank you for making such amazing things <3
