Given what we learn about them, I think it's entirely possible that they do want to "save" them as they claimed in this episode but they're going about it in the worst way. Probably the only way they could, as a chaos demon themself. Makes the character way more sympathetic. I hope that at the end of season 3, the Trickster is reformed into who they once were. Assuming that they even used to BE someone.

The shift between the scared kid and the crazy laughing and the deadpan anger voices is horrifying but also so cool. Ashe’s voice line has left me emotionally broken but AJXBJSNXNSNX I CANNOT WAIT for the Trickster to come back!!! He’s such an awesome villain
