2024-01-07 01:58:55 +0000 UTCThey confirmed that he dropped everything he was carrying (items, gear, briefcase, Pretzel's orb, etc.) as well as any clothing that provided benefits (armor (AC), necklace (protection from being Charmed), etc.). He kept his normal clothes because they are purely cosmetic in terms of gameplay. So he wasn't naked, he was just extremely vulnerable.

They have also said that the characters are accurate, meaning that you can glean information from them (Dakota feeling like the third wheel, Chip actually hating being called a bastard constantly, etc). Finally, the stories generally play out how they would if it was actually happening, so aside from some bits that are obviously dream-like (Dakota and Vyncent aging a few decades and immediately getting married), what you see can be used when talking about the correct canon universe.

All that I can think of is Gillion having a shouting match with an Easter Island inspired statue about the concept of gum and why statue needs it. Chip being the one chased by tiny figurines, and Jay just having fun watching an exhibit of a prehistoric baby herbivore of sorts.

Also yeah dont forget as long as you have proficency in arcana you can strait up create any magical item. Just jump down to the magical economy and then to creating magical items. Me an 2 others in my current game have prof in arcana and 2 out of the 3 of us are artificers. That doesn't necessarily exclude Niklaus from possible involvement, however, but I don't think Apple is simply a spy drone.

On a natural 20, with a couple of levels in Rogue, I feel like it should be more, especially if he used poisoned daggers. It also seems like he completely forgot about the card, so I don't think he'd have done it voluntarily. He, of course, could have made a deal with Niklaus while still under the affect of the card in the feywild, or he was reminded of it after Jay and Gillion's recounts. But, even if he had a reason, I feel like a natural 20 should have been more, unless I'm overestimating his ability. There's also the possibility that he was forced and thus held back, but idk.

Like there were a buncha spells affecting Apple and Celestine said that it was like a complicated spell, so no random spellcaster could've made it. And we know that Niklaus has been around for a while so he totally could've done some stuff to whoever Apple used to be then when he met the crew for the first time he was like "Hey that'd be really useful to spy on these nerds!" and just used Apple. Plus ye olde Nik is a strong magic user, he probably knows how to track someone who he's casted magic on before! AND Apple has always been with the pirates on their adventures so it would explain why he knows what things the pirates get up too and when they need his help! Im just speculating but i mean it would b pretty cool if thats what was happening :o

2022-10-01 20:23:05 +0000 UTCOn why Niklaus wants Gillion, one thing that stands out to me from the 5000 years in stone what if is that the sea was completely turned black, and that makes me think that maybe the way the prophecy works is inherently tied to the egg. Also, the crescent moon representing corruption seems like it might relate, because the moon is associated with the ocean, and a crescent moon is a moon covered partially by darkness. I'm not sure what the theory is but I feel like there's some connection here, especially with Niklaus saying to Chip not to touch the egg, "not you, anyway." Also with Gillion's rebirth, I think Gillion WAS the chosen one, and then the Elders somehow did something to replace him, and this process made him the chosen one again, hence "take BACK your destiny" Anyway I fucking love that it feels like we're moving into doing the overarching plot stuff and dealing with the mysteries, having clear directions to move towards is great, and I'd like to see more of the characters trying to work out what's going on in the episodes because it's so fun.
