She’s got a good memory, is fairly skilled with technology, and understands the full implications of the navy shit the crew is getting themselves into. Chip is the captain with the street smarts. He’s charismatic and can talk his way out of a lot of things. Chip is also a fairly quick thinker and has the ability to execute a good plan if his emotions don’t cloud his judgement. Gillion is a smart person in an unfamiliar environment. Gill isn’t dumb, the overseas are a completely different world to him. We’ve seen before that Gillion is knowledgeable in information regarding the Undersea and has been professionally trained in combat.

Maybe a workbelt with various items could be the source of the magic or maybe a custom steampunk-esque gun could emanate the magic from various holes and moving parts. Maybe even something like a mechanical lighter could work, forming various colors of smoke to represent its arcane aura. Idk, I just think it could be an effective thinking strategy, but it could also just be how my brain works.

2022-02-18 21:40:13 +0000 UTCI think Chip has the intellectual capacity to think things through and consider the consequences of his actions, however I think he lacks the emotional capacity to control his impulses or contemplate his actions in real time. When he is isolated from combat or any other sort of action, he can ponder his plan of action and circumstances such as when they are planning an infiltration. But again, if he is suddenly confronted with complications to his plan or is spontaneously plunged into a situation, he will either make a panicked decision or neglect to consider the gravity of his situation. Chip is capable of higher thinking but he lacks emotional composure and therefore lacks foresight.
