I think Charlie just likes giving his character a personal living attachment for the sake of being able to use it for character interaction when they want the character to talk to themself or to have the potential to lose someone without it affecting anyone else's intended story

2022-01-27 22:58:00 +0000 UTCMy brain is stupid and likes to be anxious when it thinks other people are nervous, but once Condi really started getting into the narrative, I really felt the chill and confidence. There wasn't really an incredibly large amount of NPC time, since a lot of this was just backstory and character centered, so it wasn't too easy to read their personalities just given the brevity of the scenarios, but with what there was it was rather well developed and interesting. The descriptions were incredible as well, though I think a few more brief descriptions such as a quick layout of a new room could've allowed for more interesting and resourceful choices. Not that there were many times I felt it needed too badly, if any at all. It's probably most useful for battles and the like, which there weren't too many of anyway. The plot itself is super cool and I absolutely can not wait to see it. Look at me writing another 3 page essay trying my best to be constructive. It's also best to take my funny words with a grain of salt because I haven't a clue what I'm saying.

2022-01-26 23:29:07 +0000 UTCIn the Elementals oneshot, Charlie once said “Why do I feel like every character Grizzly makes is who he wants to be when he grows up?” and I feel like that applies here lol (bro I totally saw the persona 5 inspiration from the instant Raoul was described and im kinda gonna miss that man’s gentleman thief aesthetic) On a similar note, my sisters and I have joked that Bizly seems to enjoy playing either big brother characters and father characters, and I’m glad to see that joke holds true… For as long as that lasted ANYWAY, DUDE! That was absolutely amazing! I LOVED the fact that we started with each character individually, that took me off guard and was really unique, I must say. The world as a whole felt very rich and atmospheric, and to have each story end with the sky breaking open was so cool (the constant use of that one Nier Automata song was also very much enjoyed, it REALLY added to the atmosphere). There was an almost cosmic horror and beauty to the ending of each story, with more horror in Charlie’s and more beauty in Grizzly’s, and Condi describing the eternal twilight at the end of Bizly’s was so damn cool, a PERFECT way to end off the episode. In terms of each story individually, I think Bizly’s was my favourite - though the pacing was REALLY fast, it had my absolute attention and eventual intrigue from beginning to end. I liked all the NPCs - seriously, I think Condi did really well on each of Thanatos’s siblings - and the ending fight held a perfect element of tragedy to it. All in all, I loved this, and I can’t wait to see where this campaign goes. Well done, Mr Condifiction, truly!
