Cameron and him are half brothers and Doug was just trying to figure out who his dad was and they ended up getting caught up in this Overlord business looking for him. Maybe Overlord told them that if they find the Prime Defenders, they find his dad. Also I think that Cameron has something else going on that's a bit darker in terms of like trauma or something, bc when they asked what was Cameron's prodigy, Doug said something along the lines of it wasn't really any of his business.

2021-05-07 23:04:58 +0000 UTCthis episode was such a wild ride. i was 30 minutes in but it felt like 2 hours and i loved every bit of it tbh! my theory for doug is that he genuinely does like the boys and wants to hang out with them, BUT he’s working for overlord for the money to support himself and his brother, cause his like parents died or whatever. he also doesnt want cameron to “end up like him”, so that’s why he’s at a private school instead and is a “prodigy” cause doug wants the best for him. that’s what im thinking bc i honestly love doug and i want him to be morally grey :(

Wavelength doesn't know his children are involved in Overlord's plans, they joined when they found out about what happened to him.

I had been sorta sus of Cameron when Bizly said he went to a private school and he hadn't been affected by the Party City Ghost, but I thought it was because Cameron had superpowers. I also thought that Doug knew about Cameron's superpowers and was trying to keep it on the DL. I had no clue he was a villain (or even super himself) until the end. AND I COULD STILL BE WRONG, CAUSE ALL WE KNOW FOR SURE IS THAT HE LIFTED DAKOTA (who ain't that big a dude) AND CALLED OVERLORD
