I especially love Tide, he's so much fun and I really liked his heart-to-heart with Vyncent, same with Mr. Wilson (I think that was his name). I'm excited for the next episode!

2021-04-23 18:15:58 +0000 UTCLoving the campaign so far. I don't have much for speculation suggestions but maybe some ideas. Given that they're in a super hero base with a decent amount of advanced technology, something like a VR training room could be used for practicing in different scenarios of being a hero and in the same breath, giving an opportunity to try out other game modes (Like that samurai one or a Call of C'thulhu style mission). Also in normal school settings, I think about a month in they would have a school event like Homecoming. That could be a great time for an something to go down. I love the potential side quest of Rusty's. So far it seems that these mini missions/assignments given are very tight lipped and they guys aren't told everything involved. It totally makes sense since they're teenagers and in training, but I think that'd be a useful point of tension in the future, especially with Dakota. I look forward to that possibly coming up. I think at one point in the patron discord it was questioned as it if Tide was actually bad and undercover. Personally I don't think or hope that he is. With another lab incident, I wonder if Dr. Lutz will be brought back to help them figure something out. Looking forward to the next episode. Still Team Tide, and Still Team Fuck Beef Stroganoff.

2021-04-22 04:05:09 +0000 UTCOkay i have an entire backstory written for William that i won't go into now but know that we are all putting our thinking caps onto how everything could fit together. As for the current situation, the biggest hmmmm moment I had was when I realized (and Charlie pointed it out too so I knew I didn't mishear) that whoever stole something was stealing most likely research on synthetic flesh even though they themselves already have synthetic flesh. Two ways this could go: 1) someone, apart from the scientist, also figured out synthetic flesh or was trying to copy it but it was flawed, experiment gone wrong, total Hulk moment. They then go into the lab trying to just steal the research and see where they went wrong and if they can fix it. 2) a bit of a jekyll and Hyde type dealio where the Dr created this horrible thing and was being contacted by the villains and realized that the only way to save everyone was to retire and destroy his own research, staging this whole thing, dumping the research and what was left of the flesh in the sewers where he'd hoped no one would find it. I also have a smaller theory about Hawk, since there isn't any traces of him in the lab. I feel like Hawk was working with the doctor and agreed to stage the fight to make it seem like it had happened

2021-04-22 02:34:21 +0000 UTCI really enjoy both of the campaigns happening right now and I think that they complement each other super well. As far theories go I have a couple of things that I've been considering since I like to theorize. The first thing would be that if William still has the same backstory that was mentioned in the one-off Just Rolled With It then I think that there could be something more sinister going on than what was implied since the wisps don't seem to be malicious. They like to cause issues but I don't think based on what we know about them that they would have led William off to die. I could be totally wrong but maybe he was pushed by one of the other hikers or something. The only other theory that I have that is relevant to this arc would be that wavelength's child might be someone they've already met at school. I don't think that we know the child's age or gender so it could be funny if it was like spiderman homecoming and one of the prime defenders actually gets a date with vanessa, summer, etc. and it's later revealed that they're wavelengths child. Or possibly that jimmy is wavelengths son, I think that it would be interesting if it were something similar to the green goblin, in the sense that jimmy wants revenge on the hero's that took down his father. I also think that it would just be cool if the prime defenders had to fight a "villain" who was their own age and I think that Jimmy being egged on by the fact that they got his dad caught would be a great choice. I purely based that theory on the fact that Jimmy mentioned having a rough home life in episode 1 and I interpreted that as possibly meaning his dad isn't around because he's off being a villain for the sake of this theory.

2021-04-21 22:39:17 +0000 UTCI love everything, that's going on. Chad is really cool, and I'm interested to see what Summer and the people at Rusty's are like. I think that the synthetic flesh was created by the people turning villians into amalgamations, but it wasn't complete, so they started targeting Dr. Amir in order to get the final, correct version of it in his notes. The mixes of the characters' different styles and genres is really well done (supernatural detective work for William, DnD character adjusting to the modern, different world for Vyncent, shonen protagonist trying to level up and create better bonds with people for Dakota).

I think that maybe Overlord does have something to do with this- perhaps looking for a new scientist to kidnap after the trio rescued the last ones (could explain why they stole contact information). Personally- I think it could be funny to see if William went into his Wisp form and got stuck like that- unable to enter his body- and the others would have to do that thing where they talk for him and move his body- y’know? XD (Also- the big flesh pile reminded me of the game Inside and now that’s all I think of when I hear it.)

And I have a little theory wich just grew in my brain while listening to this, in the episode Bizzly talked about the flesh being (re-)programmable, and now i'm just thinking. Big unactive but living piece of programmable meat under the place of confrontation, with a lot of files. I think the fleshthing is either (and this is where the theory splits) controlled by overlord in some way, as it is programmed by somebody and they want the research to use it for themselves and to improve on it as it didn't seem stable. And the gang just yoinked the info before overlord could send an extraction. Second option: since Hawk is a d-list hero with a giant ego, i can't help but think that he staged the fight to either get more press attention, or to steal the info anyway so he can grow real wings and be more than a loser with fake wings. And the last option is that the synthetic flesh experiment went bad, and that there is a villain running around the sewer made of flesh that needs to find research to fix his unstable body. I've got a question for Charlie here though, are the terms, Wisp form, soul form and spirit form used for the same thing (going sickghost mode) are are there three seperate forms you've got that go even further beyond?

Amogus what if?!?? And feudal Japan mini arc where they all like lose their powers and get relatively close dnd clases???? Brooooooo like uhhh the one piece filler stuff omg yesthhhhhhhh idk personally I love these bits where yall just talk reminds me that yall r human and you geek out about this stuff too and I love it *chef's kiss* and I agree with Dr slime here lots of labs and I think it going to be one really big scheme of mutants and shiiii

I think that he was keeping some information secret ofc, but what we got was very interesting. I hope he gets to see his son sometime I think that Overlord may have something to do with what happened at the college, given that important files were stolen. Maybe they described on how to make the synthetic flesh
