*trying to catch my breath* I made it! I ran over I soon as I found the time. I almost forgot how much I hate editing 😆. I'm not gonna leave a long dissertation because I'm still processing the episode myself. Just know that this was giving me all of the Richonne feels. Had my face in a blush and sent my heart a flutter 🥰. I've honestly been mentally checked out with TWD so long at this point that I almost forgot how exhilerated I used to feel while sitting down to watch a new episode. I haven't watched a teaser, a trailer or anything for this, so I'm just coming in blind and I'm all in... Rick chopping off his own hand was wild. I never thought they'd actually do it. Rick loses his hand in the comics, somewhat early in the series, during the prison era. Robert Kirkman, the comics creator, admitted that he regretted cutting of Rick's hand in the comics (imagine if Rick lost his hand all the way back in season 3, and had to lead the rest of the series with one hand 🥴). The show even gave Rick's comic look from the timed jumped Whiperers era (short curly hair, beard, and the prosthetic, complete with attachments lol), so I thought we moved way from that. I was wrong 😩. It's going to be an interesting conversation between Rick's lost hand and the X brand on Michonne's lower back. And the time off has been real good to Andrew Lincoln because he looked 😍. Acting was A1. He slipped back into this role like he never left and not once did he not feel like "Rick" throughout. Danai, as usual, looked 🤌🏾. She just has such a natural, captivating beauty and presence. Everything about Richonne this episode beautiful. The dreams, the letters, the mental horrors of desperation. Michonne is Rick's anchor. She's always kept him steady, grounded. When his mind would get muddled, firey, and chaotic, she'd bring him sense of peace or help guide him to it, soothing him like aloe, or making him re-evaluate himself whenever he starts cutting up in his antics with just her words. Here, even in his dreams, she's guiding him with her thought provoking words. Believing in him. She's always believed in him. And we get our reunion at the end. The look on their faces. Over 6 years and they've found each other again 🥹. Also, is it too soon for Rick to give Michonne another baby? 👀 I'm just excited for this guys and just ready to live on this Richonne high 🤗 (this comment was still longer than I intended 😆)...

This return was everything we needed!! I don’t know if we’ll see anyone else in this series but if anyone I would love for Rick to see his kids 😭
