Orphan Black Season 2 Episode 5

Comments

(Shamonda) Absolutely 💯. Everything currently are shows that have already aired and ended. Once The Ones Who Live starts it will adjust our schedule quite nicely. We hope that works for you. Thanks for your inquiry.

Married To Film

Forgot my random fun fact: Entertainment Weekly visited the set during season 2 filming and asked Tatiana which clone was her favorite, and she said her favorite to act as, at least at the time, was Rachel. She found Rachel being this guarded mystery fascinating and was having a lot of fun playing her in season 2, especially since she didn't get to Rachel until the end of season 1.

Yay! I can now address y'all as Sestra Shamonda & Brother-Sestra Ralph 😄. Name Check: Melphine/Melvin/Daphne 😂 (I legit had tears over that lol) - Delphine Cormier. Kira's Daddy - Cal Morrison. Rachel's Dead Monitor/Boy Toy - Daniel. The Fish People - Proletheans. Ginger Baby - Gracie. Weird, Yong Prolethean Dude - Mark. Cosima's Lab Buddy/Patent "Expert" - Scott. Rachel's Father - Professor Ethan Duncan. Allison's not in this episode. I had the same thought I had last season when Allison wasn't in episode 1x7 because she was on her couples' retreat the first time I watched it. "Huh. I guess the actress was busy with a prior engagment and couldn't film" 🤦🏾‍♀️ 😆. I'll start with Eerie Kira and her off the grid Daddy Cal then. I don't think Sarah felt comfortable with Kira calling Cal "Daddy". I guess now that Sarah's trying to be a mother (poor Bobbie the Bartender didn't realize the baby was on the video call lol), it's probably jarring to have to share her baby now. Now, Monkey's calling herself a lepord 😭I guess Sarah know she can't really judge or really feel some type of way about it since she's kept her daughter from him, and especially given her own history of parenting. Cal seems to be doing and taking well to the dad thing. He definitely seem to have his secrets, but hey, who doesn't in this show 😄. He's really seems to be all in though, just out here risking it all, waiting for Sarah to tell him to scoop her up. And once again, Eerie Kira strikes again. First she's just casually talking about being able to tell her mama and aunties apart (has she even met Cosima lol) but then she cuts herself off with that "Somebody's coming". The creepiest part though is the way just stopped drawing, dropped her crayon, and kinda stared off when the knock came. Kira's that type of child that'll give you a heart attack in the middle of the night because you woke up to her just standing right next to your bed trying to ask you something 😭. You know what, she kinda reminds me of the little girl from M. Night Shyamalan's movie "Signs". "There's a monster outside of my room. Can I have a glass of water?" with a whole straight face 😐. Sarah said in ep 2x3 that Kira must get her intuition from her daddy. Well, she definitely got her quick thinking and lying abilities from her mama the way she thought fast to put on that gas mask. That gas mask (why do you have a gas mask just lying around the RV, Cal? lol). He gave a good cover lie though, so it's just a whole lying family now on the run lol. At least we know he wasn't lying about the RV not being registered in his name. Okay, to be fair to Paul, he's still being blackmailed by DYAD about Afghanistan, which is why he says he doesn't have a choice. I mean, I guess we all have choices, he doesn't have any "good" ones at the moment. Rachel gave an ultimatum. I still wanna give him a stunner and cuss him out Stone Cold Style after what he did to my Felix though lol. Just a few weeks ago, he was just a monitor. Now, he just got "promoted". He's in deeep now lol. Welp. Let this be a lesson kids: When you don't take accountability for your dirt, it just allows others to hold it over you head for you to do more dirt lol. My Poor Felix. First he gets Helena dumped him by Sarah. I know he's tired of Sarah bringing these "strays" all up in his place lol (I love that she kissed his hand as a way to show her appreciation. Progress lol). Then he gets hissed at by Helena (I would have legit screamed if I was Felix, but that part never fails to crack me up. Especially since she chuckled to herself afterwards lol). Felix seemed so happy for his date with Colin. He done got all nicely dressed, cleaned up his place, put on some eyeliner, and gave himself some stylishly tossed hair. I guess he figured they take the couch since everyone seems to be shagging in his bed lol. The fact that Colin even came over after getting questioned by the cops about Felix and his "dead" sister in ep 1x8, he must really like him lol. If I was Colin, I'd tell Felix to lose my number at this point 😭. All of that lube dripping off his hands when he put his hands up for the police is embarrassingly hilarious though, especially since being a mortician, he probably knows these cops since they seem to know him. He might need to just go transfer to another province (I was gonna say "state" but I forgot they're in Canada lol). Also shoutout to Tears for Fears because "Head Over Heels" is my jam 💃🏿 lol. The whole Paul/Felix scene was so terrifying when I first saw it. It still makes me tense even though I know what's happening whenever I rewatch it. Felix screaming and crying, "I'm sorry! I'm sorry!" breaks my heart everytime. The look on his face, thinking he was about to die at that moment? He was so scared and Jordan Gavaris played it so well 😭. While the scene with Sarah & Felix at Cal's made me realize I never want to see Felix crying again, this scene made me realize that I need Felix to be put in my safety box with Kira because I didn't want to see him in danger like that ever again. I didn't think we'd see Felix in trouble like that. The closest we'd gotten was when Allison pulled a gun on him in the beginning of episode 1x3, but Big Sis Sarah was there to protect him. Big Sis couldn't protect him this time 😞. I'd be mad at Sarah for not taking Daniel's gun with her when the twins left, but being in the midst of all that shower trauma, I understand lol. She probably didn't want to get caught with a gun with a cop body on it anyways, which is why she left it with Daniel after the car accident. Now, on to my nerds over at DYAD lol. This is at least the second Cosima/Delphine scene where they shot a medical scene with the two of them in a romantic way lol. First was in episode 2x1 on Felix's bed with the dimmed lighting when Delphine was drawing Cosima's blood (seriously, which one of them lit all of those candles in Felix's apartment 😄). Now, they're being intimate for a shot while Leekie's just kinda third wheeling it giving the shot. Almost like a weird, science ménage à trios lol. Tatiana did say fans called Cosima "the hot one" in season because "science is sexy" lol. Also, Delphine, wasn't you just sleeping with Leekie last season? Now, she's just all in his face with Cosima like y'all ain't at work Lol. Scott, our university lab buddy, wants to work on the super sensitive stuff. Delphine'a like, "Naw. Keep yo tail where you at" *click*. Imagine working on some crazy secretive project for your friend and you have no real clue on what you're actually working on because she won't tell you. I don't think I could do it lol. Delphine finds the new treatment that Leekie was working on and immediately tells Cosima. Progress lol. Delphine gotta learn to sneak better though because Leekie was standing right there watching them rummage through his office lol. Leekie spilled the secret about the original genome being lost and actually decided to disregard Rachel's order, despite her basically outranking him (glad y'all clocked that since 2x1). Also, since Leekie raised Rachel post-explosion, Imma need him to not raise another damn child after the way Rachel done turned out 😂. Anyways, since he shared DYAD as an act of good faith, Sarah & Cosima decided to meet up with him to collaborate information. So, it looks like we're working with Leekie for the time being. Problem is, Rachel got Paul sneaking on Leekie. Rachel already told Paul he works for her, not Leekie, but now Leekie is telling Paul to check in with him before he checks in with her. Seemed like Daniel did the same since he called Leekie instead of Rachel last episode (although to be fair, I wouldn't want to call Rachel and tell her the news that I lost Sarah either 😂). "We wanted to know, do you like to drink beer?" Cut to Leekie at the bar with a glass of wine lol... So, Sarah finally knows that her sister Cosima is sick with that "Katja Disease". And she didn't even get it from the horse's mouth. At least she knows now, but now that's one more thing that's probably gonna sit on her mind now. Sarah was so taken aback that, she wasn't even sure how to react to the news. Leekie warned some eps back that Rachel doesn't take insults very well. So far, she's been shot at, backhanded, and had a gun to her head by Sarah, got a snide remark from Cosima about getting smacked, and now Helena done killed her boy toy and fingerpainted with his blood all over her pristine, clean apartment. AND they watched her family video? Rachel said, "Oh word? Aight, bet", in her stoic, corporate, Posh-Spice manner 😆. Granted she brought this on herself, but you can't tell her that though lol. Rachel said she's putting these eggs in a baskest and she's ready to start breaking people. "Until Sarah comes to heel, Cosima will continue to suffer". I remember hearing Rachel say that line in the season 2 trailer and I was scared. We'd just found out Cosima was sick, Sarah was at the end of season one and here comes The ProClone. Well, she came in this episode and said she's taking Sarah's brother, her sister, AND her man. And who's gonna check her? Not Leekie (at least not to her face it seems lol). I'm not gonna lie, I just love me a good female antagonist that do casual power-flexes lol. Also, Domme Rachel was feeling herself, no pun intended 😆. She definitely seems to love the way she looks lol. She stared at her negligee self in 2 different mirrors in her apartment before "seducing" Paul. I guess that's why she's constantly looking outside on pristine clean, giant windows in just about every episode we've seen with her so far, so she can look at herself in the reflection. In fact, she was literally introduced to us through her reflection in a giant window lol. (I feel like Rachel's the type that have someone offed for putting fingerprints and smudges on her clean windows lol). Felix: "What did those fish-cult freaks do to her?" Sarah: "I don't know. She wouldn't say." I like that eventhough Helena freaked them both out, mainly Felix lol, they both showed concerned and know that something wrong with Helena. And see, y'all not the only refer to the Proletheans as "fish people" lol... I really enjoy the Helena and Art scenes. I love that addressed Helena almost killing Art when we first meet her (he got grazed in the neck when Sarah knocked him out of the way) because so much has happened since then that it's easy to forget that detail. She didn't have to make pig noises at him though lol. I don't know how Tatiana be doing those Helena eating scenes though. Powdered donuts ("These I like"), sardines & mustard, pickles, uncooked instant ramen, and boiled eggs? I know her stomach be hurting because she really be eating it. She should have inprovised eating that random muffin on Beth's desk in ep 1x5 😭. "When I was 7, the nuns said I had devils inside me. Sister Olga locked me in cellar. She gave me darkness. So, I gave her darkness." So, Helena's been gouging out eyeballs since she was 7? I mean, don't lock children in closets as punishments. Not only is it mentally unhealthy, but just plain rude 🤷🏾‍♀️. (I'd talk about those Fish People but I kinda don't want to because everything about them is just no lol. That reaction to Mark kissing sewed up Gracie though 😂). And we finally get to see our assassin clone in action. The closest we got was when we're first introduced to her character, but that instant twin connection deterred her a bit. We've never got to see that and it almost felt nostalgic with. Even though it was only just last season, the story, the show itself has evolved so much since. Bringing back that season 1 Helena energy we were introduced to, the little paper game with the coordinates, the motorcycle, the dolls, it almost felt nostalgic to a simpler time on the show when Sarah was pretending to be a cop with unaware Art at her side, except now they both on the same page and truly working together as real partners. Speaking of season 1 nostalgia, nice to hear Maggie Chen getting brought up again. Just getting more and more expanded on post-mortem lol. It's okay to have Helena as your favorite, Ralph. She might actually be THE fan favorite clone (Definitely Top 3 within the fandom). She's creepy but also oddly adorable with her childlike shennaigans (in a much different way than Kira lol). I actually have a Clone Club friend from Austrailia who was the BIGGEST Helena stan. He got a huge tattoo of Helena's face on one of his arms, made a collage on the wall of his room full of Helena screenshots/promos/fanart, and created a display room with a huge, glass encased Orphan Black shrine, complete with 2 fully dressed Helena mannequins he put together. I'm talking one of the mannequins dressed in Helena's season 1 outfit complete with the coat. I think he even brought a slew of Orphan Black & Helena items when they did an auction selling real Orphan Black props, scripts, and costumes on Ebay some years back for charity (I think he tried to get the wedding dress but someone might had beaten him to it). So, Helena being some people's favorite is understandable lol. I feel like the imagine of Helena in a white, bloodied, wedding dress with a knife is an image from last episode perfectly sums up Helena. A feeling of innocence/purity that's been heavily stained by her actions that were forceibly created by the control, manipulation, and trauma of those that handled her throughout her whole life. Assassin Helena has some great lines didn't she? I don't know which is my favorite. "Mind your weapon, Art, or I'll pull the trigger", "Pull, Art. See who's faster" or "Rachel's problem. I fix problem". I love that Helena/Sarah scene in the empty building with Art. and Art's face as the twins leave together takes me out everytime because I would have made the same face. "What in the world just happened?!" 😆. Chaotic Siblings is what happened, Art. Chaotic Siblings lol... I'm sure Sarah doesn't care about Paul considering she was just getting pelvic with her baby daddy days prior lol Sarah's got options out here in these Canadian streets 😆. So, Helena asked Sarah for help last episode, and now Sarah's asking Helena for help. Helena wanted to protect her family, but she doesn't feel love from her sister, who keeps calling her "Meathead" (lol), in return. To be fair, Helena was a main antagonist just a few weeks prior (if it's even been that long), so I get it. Helena: "You only want to use me." Sarah: "No, that's not true. You saved my life. You're my sister. Helena, I thought... I thought I killed you. I couldn't tell anybody what I lost. You came back. Please, put down the gun. Please." That confession always hits me. I love how different the twins are. I mean, they're all different, I guess lol. This is probably the first time we actually see the twins mutually and openly bond. You have Helena, who's probably is the most emotionally vulnerable out of the sisters, and Sarah, who seems to be emotionally closed off (outside of anger). Sarah grew up angry because she didn't have a "real" family, being an orphan. In the season 1 finale, lost her birth mother and had to "kill" her own twin sister within minutes, just days after "finding" them. She found the orphan childhood "dream" and lost it. But like she told Helena before pulling the trigger, "I've already got a family", realizing what she DID have and kept running away from and now fighting to protect. Whereas Helena never had a family, and the "family" she did have gave her nothing but lies and abuse. Helena felt like she's being used once again, except now by her "real" family, probably her ONLY family, that she's too trying to protect now, the only way she knows how, despite feeling used. Helena wears her heart on her sleeve. Whether if it's terrifying, funny, or sad, Helena's emotions always appear genuine. It's almost childlike, with no defense or safe guard(or wall for some) that we seem to develop as we get older. But Helena's also not stupid either. Sarah realized she had to get really real and really vulnerable, get to her sister's level, to get through to her. She had to get honest about her feelings regarding Helena. The only other person we've probably seen her get that emotionally vulnerbale and honest with is Kira (also Art at the police station when she pleaded to help him protect Kira in the finale, but again, it was about Kira). She got emotional, admitted to feeling a connection, when Helena got caught between Sarah & Tomas, but again, out of trying to protect Kira. This time it's to save Felix (Sarah struggles showing her appreciation of Felix to him, but she definitely loves her brother), but it's more than that this time. Sarah crying and admitting to Helena that she lost something when she "killed" her, something that she couldn't tell anybody. Before she found out Helena was her twin, she said she saw herself in Helena. She admitted to Helena about feeling that connection. She told Felix, who questioned if it was Helena who snatched Kira & Mrs. S, that Helena was "gone. Just gone" as she drank at the bar. How do you explain your people that you shot and killed your psychotic, murderous, twin sister that you've recently met to protect yourself and loved ones, and now you probably feel regretful about it? Not because you caught your first body, but because you felt genuinely connected to said psychotic, murderous twin sister. (Sarah really had a rough night that night, didn't she? And that wasn't even the worst part of that night for her). Sarah breaking down crying, laying her head on top of Helena's as the latter hugged on the former in that shower was probably relief of being saved, but also relief that she that she hadn't killed her sister afterall. She didn't lose her like she thought. I love the Sarah of helping Helena down and holding their hands together is such a cool shot. They really seem to have the clone interaction scenes where they physically touch on point. So, now we're off to Cold River: The Place of Screams in Mrs. S roomy truck. I feel like I did a guest spot for this episode on a OB review podcast a group of first time watchers did. I can't remember which episodes I actually did. I'm terrible at podcasting though lol. Will Helena make more animal noises? Will the Fish People continue to be the definition of "nope"? Will Kira claim another animal identity? These are the important questions lol...

Will you guys ever adjust the schedule to what is airing currently?
