I remember watching this episode feeling the same way as Shamonda. “Who are these people and why do I care?” I just wanted to get back to the characters I knew and loved. I promise it will all come together, it’s normal to be lost here. So much new info coming at you that doesn’t make a lot of sense yet. But it will! Hang in there!!!

2023-09-26 00:31:12 +0000 UTCY'all pretty much are on the right track it's just an information dump and we were all lost because we went 3 whole seasons not knowing there is an entire world out there fighting other wars and having their own things going on and we're just finding out about it! We thinking the whole world is in a Titan Apocalypse, nope just out favorite people trapped on Paradise Island. Anywho I know you got my notes from the first episode so I won't repeat that but I will just point out some of the important things I'll update our Nine Titans list with current information from this episode Colossal Titan- Bertolt Hover- Armin Arlelt Armored Titan- Reiner Braun Beast Titan- Zeke Jaeger Attack Titan- Kruger-Grisha Jaeger-Eren Jaeger Founding Titan- Frieda Reiss- Grisha Jaeger -Eren Jaeger Cart Titan- Pieck Jaw Titan- Marcel Galliard - Ymir- Porco Galliard Female Titan-Annie Leonhart War Hammer Titan- Someone in the Tiber Family So we got Ymir's goodbye letter read to us in the Season 3 finale and here we heard Galliard ate her and took her Titan and now posses her memories. We learn the Tiber Family (who we have never seen up to this point) has the final 9th Titan we've also never seen called the War Hammer Titan. They claim this Titan helped them win the Great Titan War and drove King Fritz behind the walls on Paradise Island but has not engaged in battle since. Marley despises Eldians and has pounded into their Eldian citizen's heads that they deserve the mistreatment they get because of their ancestor's sins back in the time of The Great Titan War era. Marley also pounds into their Eldian's heads that they should hate the Elidian's on Paradise Island's (Eren & crew) and basically makes them project their hate onto them because Marley tells them if it wasn't for Paradise Elidians, they wouldn't be in this situation in the first place. So they trick them into hating Paradise, and signing up to be soldiers and inherit the Titans and fight in their army. As an incentive for being a Warrior Titan your family gets to be an honorary Marlians and won't be treated harshly anymore. It's horrible they have these people so brainwashed. Because in reality Zeke, Reiner and the others could crush the Marlian Army with proper planning. Which is why Marley's government watches them so hard, hiding behind corners listening and spying on their conversations when they meet up. They know if a mutiny happens and takes them by surprise they are done for and then other countries could also come in and take down Marley. They make sure to keep everyone brainwashed and to keep their Titan Warriors happy. We also learned they have been trying to attack Paradise Island but none of the ships they sent returned so they assume Eren had help from the Colossal & Female Titan (They are just assuming Annie's power was stolen by this point). They also fear Levi & Mikasa because the Ackermanns skills are second to none, they are just as deadly as Titans. Reiner wants Falco to inherit the Titan personally as he knows the heavy burden that comes with it so he doesn't want his cousin to have to take that on. He feels Falco is more mature and could handle the weight of it all. One thing I either forgot or didn't notice was Colt's line to Zeke about his Beast Titan being more powerful than anyone else's before him. I guess since because he is from royal blood because of his mom, his titan naturally is more powerful. Which I guess goes to say those of royal blood have stronger titans. Obviously Marley does not know Zeke has royal blood.
