There was a lot of information dumped in this episode, but for me I think the fact that we finally got to hear who busted Eren’s belt way back in the early episodes was what hit me hardest. I had always assumed it was Mikasa, trying to get Eren to give up on the soldier thing. So to find out now that it was Shaddis…wow. Who knew that guy played such a big part in Eren’s story? You have to love this show and how even the little things come back later to be important. Genius writing!

2023-08-08 20:55:55 +0000 UTCThis episode served as a great recap/fill in the gaps episode as we see some things that were glossed over early on. Very important to keep a mental note. Attack on Titan does an amazing job of giving you contextless information that may seem irrelevant or just a simple "Story that doesn't help humanity" but it does serve a purpose. The big takeaway was obviously Griesha being found outside the walls with no memory and then of course taking Eren into the woods, which we seen what happens in previous episodes, he turns Eren into a pure titan and lets him eat him, just adds another piece to that story. They seem to give us different viewpoints of that moment at different times... Griesha really moved around alot that day... Also he wasn't turning people into titans, he did actually cure the plague 😂 and Carla fell in love with him and we got the gift of Eren. Almost done with Part 1 of Season 3, onward to the midseason finale 🙌🏽
