I do love that moment where Levi laughs. Like Shamonda said, we never see that. And when he tells the squad “Thanks, you guys. I needed that.” It kind of shows that they’re family, in an abstract sort of way. I always assumed he needed the laugh because part of him did care about Kenny and was sad about his death. You can see how hurt he was that Kenny just left him as a child. These tiny glimpses of Levi’s heart we get give me life.

2023-08-08 20:25:01 +0000 UTCA few clarification points -Kenny was indeed Levi’s uncle, he just meant he wasn’t fit to be a child’s guardian/parent. He was satisfied with his nephew knowing just enough to survive in the world on his own - When Uri passes down his titan “voluntarily” he still has to be eaten. He just meant he can choose who he wants to be eaten by. Pure Titans have to consume the spinal fluid of someone with a special titan power in order to get that ability. - I cannot confirm/deny the identity of the Beast Titan. Yall will have to just watch and see. I was just in shock he beat down Renier like that Kenny was an interesting character, he definitely gave us alot of information. His whole drive that past arc was to steal the founding titan’s power for himself, but when he realized he couldn’t he lost hope. He wanted the peace Uri & Frieda had. Historia punching Levi after being hyped up by everyone is hilarious. Something they all secretly wanted to do but couldn’t. The Queen can 😄 and he needed that laugh, well mainly because he never laughs 😂. I think y’all understand it now but just to give more insight about the transferring of titan powers… think back to Ymir, she was somewhere pretending to be of Royal blood and they punished her for it, they turned her into a pure titan. She roamed the earth for 50 years as a basic titan and one day stumbled upon Reiner & Bertolts friend, ate him and stole his ability to transform into whatever Titan he was and she became human again with the power to transform. Thats how it works Looking forward to literally every episode of this season, it’s so great 🙌🏾
