Each walled city has about 200 MPs stationed there. Primary duties are to oversee cadet brigades, monitor the Garrison, and direct fire-fighting operations."

They suffered heavy casualties and didn’t gain any additional territory so their mission was deemed a failure by the public and the government. They revoked the Scouts custody of Eren because if you remember the agreement was that they could keep Eren if he proves to be valuable to Humanity and not a threat. The outcome of the mission didn’t indicate that. We know Commander Erwin had a different mission in mind which was to capture the would be traitor in their midst which is why the had the trap in the forest ready for the female titan. They failed to capture her and that was the victory Commander Erwin was counting on to prove they needed Eren on their side and that there are threats among them. After the forest battle is when Eren, Armin & Mikasa got back together. For this episode it was just a little more about than just the reveal, it was also our first big look at how the Military Police operate. Which we see the higher up Officers drinking and playing cards on duty. One Officer defended Annie saying she was the only one of them who has seen any action which is true. Most of the advanced warriors go to the Military Police because they are located 1) in the inner most wall where the King and all the nobles live so it’s a luxury area as they are not short on food or supplies like other areas in the wall and it’s safer because it’s in the middle 2) Since there is no action there because Titans have not made it that far into the wall they never have to actually do any work which is why all they do is drink, play cards and slack off all day. Annie was with Eren’s crew when they graduated and she was one of the few that chose to go to the Military Police instead of the Scout Regiment or the Garrison Regiment. So the creators used her POV as our lense into how the Military Police operate since we haven’t gotten much of that. Marlo we see wanted to make change and even tries to stand up to the superior officers but quickly and brutally realizes it won’t be easy to go against the flow when everyone acts the same, the disease of the laziness and corruption have spread so far it would be hard for one person to create the change needed and he sees that now. Then to the meat of the episode which y’all put together. It was so hilarious watching y’all assume Hange was the Female Titan, I definitely get it but it was amusing. Everything else spoke for itself. There’s definitely more to Annie than what meets the eye she was referencing alot of that in her dialogue but from our perspective and Eren and co's perspective it’s not really making sense to us it almost sounds like nonsense but to her it makes perfect sense. More to come, I’m excited y’all are back 🔥🔥 so much more greatness to come
