Since they've finished the show, what line are you referring to in regards to Daniel and Jack?

I guess this as good a time as any to mention, and I figure you are a few episodes ahead already. Even when I was watching this live I started to see that the writers put in tons of Red Herrings and misdirects. There are more of those than clues and hints to the overall story. The show is littered with them and the most egregious one is coming up. It is something Daniel says to Jack and it is the writers blatantly lying about the story. They want to throw you off so much at this point they are just lying to the audience and that sucks. It is the line I hate the most in this entire show. It was wrong for them to do it, it is just lazy and serves no purpose. If you have already seen it maybe you can guess, or if it comes up soon maybe you will know which one it is. And I hope you do, it is the dumbest line in the entire show.
Anyway, there are also writing mistakes. I know one is Charlottes birthday can't be right. Ben says it was 1979, but we know she was alive in 1974. So you can't take everything at 100%, because some stuff is just a screw up in the writing and other stuff is pure misdirection.

I think by "losing his innocence" Richard meant that Ben would no longer be an innocent boy but now he would be a "hostile" and therefore act as the Hostiles (or Others) do. You could guess that this was the point at which he became the "weasel" that he is now, haha.
