Big news! After a five-month sprint, we're finally dropping a brand-new PRE-ALPHA build and, honestly, we're buzzing with excitement. We're all ears for what you've got to say – love it, hate it, or anything in between, we want to hear all the juicy details. We want to show you the progress made on several gameplay systems. While this build is not indicative of final quality, we want to give you the opportunity to experience the world at its various in-progress stages.

Today's a big one, we're rolling out the first chapter that launches you straight into Virtual Little Tokyo, plus a sneak peek at Sandbox V3. It's still baking in the oven, but we're letting you taste-test because your patience has been greatly appreciated, and we want to hear your feedback! We're super curious about how the user experience is feeling for everyone, and, of course,  what we can do better.

One of the things we think is most exciting in this build: You'll finally get to encounter some of the Corruption for the first time! This first fight is a bit silly, so please have fun with it. (You might actually die. Yes, its a bug. Yes, we are fixing it.) There's also cyber city vibes and little treats tucked away for you to discover. We’re excited to hear you share your experiences over in the Discord.

This is a Pre-Alpha build, so there is definitely going to be scuff. If you prefer a cleaner experience, we recommend waiting for the hotfixes that will be coming in the next 3 weeks.

Patch Notes 5.2.0

Known issues

• Stream missing Chat Window

• Loading a save game into combat section will make the enemies docile and make you unable to progress the story.

• Old save files will not work.

• save menu might need to be closed and reopened for the save files to be refreshed.

• Mel really values her personal space in the elevator at the onsen, so let her get in and settled before joining her. Same with letting her get to her apartment door’s keypad (her passcode is private!)

• Once you’re done marveling at System 32’s badassery, make sure you head straight to Blair’s Lab. Going back the way you came will trigger the previous loop to start again and prevent progression

• Fighting back against enemies may trigger game-over.  (SAVE BEFORE APPROACHING)

• Some of System 32's dialogue is not firing correctly. No, you are not talking to yourself.

Content

• Added another story section up to Blair's lab.

• City is now buzzing with bald life and traffic.

• Spiced up the starting house with some NICE images.

• Major sandbox rework with a lot of juicy action you can have with a lot of different characters. Press Q to activate during exploration sections.

• Early combat preview with enemies.

Backend

• Changed our save files and save system so much that old save files will not work. But, we can handle a lot more data now and a lot better.

• Revamped our old progression systems to a new and more sexy custom system that is easier to work with.

• Streaming story section gotten a extreme performance fix.

• A lot of performance fixes done for the city and other parts.

• AI Rework. Not much to say here except they should be smarter now. Especially with navigation and dynamic obstacles.
