Happy Friday Science Team! Time for another character announcement!

The Arena Announcer originally opened up the Battle Arena after realizing that instead of going out and looking for fights, she could get the fights to come to her. So, she gathered together her crew, and together they “evicted” the old Battle Arena owner.

Originally, the Battle Arena exclusively dealt in single-person combat between participants. People would come to relieve some stress, test their mettle, or come enjoy the spectacle of two people battling it out.

Then, one day, a kid came to the Battle Arena with a battle bot in tow. He started making some very bold claims about how his battle bot “could beat the snot outta anyone it faces!”. The Arena Announcer and her crew took them up on the challenge, and defeated it with little effort. The poor battle bot, primitive as it was, couldn't pick itself up after being knocked down. After the thorough thrashing it received, the kid dragged the bot back home, declaring that he'd be back and with something that'd show them the wonders of technology.

A few weeks later, he was back. But this time, the battle bot had some significant improvements. It could pick itself up after being knocked down! The Arena Announcer and her crew spent some time amusing themselves with it, knocking it down over and over just to watch it get back up again. After a bit of time, though, someone came up with the brilliant idea to start placing bets for how long it'd take to pick itself up again.

Thus, the Arena became the go-to place for betting on fights. This ragtag group of fighting enthusiasts became one of the cities wealthiest and most successful fighting coordinators. People would flock from all over the Lower City to try their luck and win big.

Our Arena Announcer is voiced by none other than Vexoria the Sun Eater. You may notice her design is a bit... vague at the moment, and for good reason! This character will be a multi-community collaboration, and we’ll have more details for you soon~
