【全体公開】Skeb+タイムラプス【作品解説】

お待たせしました。Skebの依頼作品が完成しましたので、解説記事を書きます。

以前もSkebでご依頼いただいていたクライアント様のOCと、新たにもう一人のキャラクターを描かせていただきました。

作品解説 / Commentary

今回のオーダーはなんと自由！クライアント様が私の過去の仕事から全面的に信頼してくださいました。

This time, the client entrusted me with the entire order! They had complete confidence in me based on my past work.

しかしこれはむしろ下手な真似はできない、何を求められているのかを深く読み取って的確に表現しなければならないなと気が引き締まる思いでした。

However, this actually made me feel tense. I felt a sense of urgency to deeply understand what the client was seeking and express it accurately.

まずキャラクターの設定を見て正反対の属性を持った2人であるとのこと。

クライアント様は私と好みが近しいように思います。具体的な指示は無いながらも依頼分を読んだだけで完成図が頭の中に出来上がっていきました。

First, I looked at the character settings and saw that the two characters had opposite attributes.

I feel that the client's preferences align closely with my own in terms of character attributes. Even without specific instructions, simply reading the request allowed me to visualize the final design in my mind.

善と悪の対比構造で、2人のキャラを対等に扱いたかったので、画面に占める割合も同等にしたいと思いました。

なので、ここは太極図をモチーフにした構図でいこうと決めました。

I wanted to treat the two characters equally in the contrast between good and evil, so I wanted them to occupy the same proportion of the screen.

Therefore, I decided to use a composition based on the Taijitu motif.☯️

黒い狐のキャラには刺青があるので、これだけは絶対に外せない要素として考えました。髪の毛をまとめたスタイルを参照し、着物をはだけさせて背中を見せる構図にしました。

The black fox character has tattoos, so I decided that this was an essential element that could not be omitted. Referring to the style of the character's hair, I created a composition that shows her back by loosening her kimono.

もう一方のキャラは仰向けで寝そべっています。神秘的な巫女服ですが、腰回りがセクシーなデザインだったのでその部分を取り入れたくて、腰のカーブがきれいに見えるように描いています。

The other character is lying on her back. She is wearing a mysterious shrine maiden outfit, but I wanted to incorporate the sexy design around her waist, so I drew it to show off the beautiful curve of her waist.

2人のキャラが水面の上にいて、善の方は清浄なのに対して悪の方は水が赤く濁っているという場面にしました。

I created a scene where two characters are on the surface of the water, with the good character surrounded by clear water and the evil character surrounded by red, murky water.

刺青はやっぱりここが一番求められているポイントだろうなと思っています。

I think the client is most interested in her tattoo.

クライアント様から資料が提供されていたので、ラフ段階ではただ貼り付けていましたが、ペン入れの際にちゃんと手描きしなおして色塗りでも質感を合わせています。

背中の筋を刺青の色に負けないようにちょっと濃いめで描いています。

The client provided me with reference materials, so I just pasted them in during the rough draft stage, but when I inked the drawings, I redrew them by hand and matched the texture with the coloring.

I drew the muscles on the back a little darker so that they would not be overshadowed by the tattoo colors.

神聖な泉の上で清らかに光差す善なる狐と、水を血のように赤く濁らせる不吉な悪の狐の太極図です。

This is a taijitu depicting a benevolent fox shining brightly above a sacred spring and an ominous evil fox turning the water red like blood.

完成直前にキャラ資料を見直して、盲目の狐のキャラには目の下にほくろがあることに気がついて忘れずに描きました。

Just before completion, I reviewed the character materials and noticed that the blind fox character had a mole under his eye, so I made sure to draw it.

描いてる途中に線画を非表示にしてみたらなんかちょっといい感じだったので主線のないイラストも良いかもしれないと思ったバージョンも載せてみます。

While drawing, I tried hiding the line art, and it looked pretty good, so I thought illustrations without main lines might be nice too, so I'll post that version as well.
