I’m fucking cackling at the thought of throwing pizza pans at someone over the stall like I have tears in my eyes thinking of the noise

costco_hotcock

Food service should be considered a trade honestly I do everything in here with basically no working equipment and terrible coworkers and I can count money very well now

Pheep

Kay you NEED to collab with Honey Pluton's podcast 🥺

Laura

really want to echo the sentiments abt college and a job.. as someone whos about to graduate from art school like yeah i want to do this but also im forced to now, i really wish there was some trial period prior.. also yes to food service i think getting a serving job at 19 actually opened up my sacral chakra and i saw the true inner workings of the galaxy

Apparently teenagers in the early 2000s would remove their braces themselves with pliers. I only heard about it couldn't say how viable that is

lmao the ripping the tooth out as a kid. when I was a kid I stood in front of the bathroom mirror when my tooth was only a tiny big wiggly and worked that sucker out because I wanted the $2 from the tooth fairy before the book fair. there was a lot of blood and it was only slightly more horrific then when I started ripping my braces out as a teenager because they overtightened them and the nearest appointment to fix it was 2 weeks away...

Theo

this is my first episode it’s like the gates of heaven opened me to a garden of forbidden knowledge

vickie saint

also oh my god if I could've taken a gap year??? life changing. absolutely.

lys

oh you two are a HUNDRED percent correct on the no real phones until 15-16 thing. my cousin has a flip phone and he's like 14 and I'm genuinely so jealous bc I know social media access at like 12 screwed with me soooo bad. ipad kids put a genuine deep existential fear within me

As a tumbler representative, I just wanna say tumbler is alive but really only for fandom stuff and shit posting, tumbler hasn’t done anything to fuck over those groups so they are still going

birdacorn

As someone who went straight into college and also became a waitress at 18 I would do anything to go back and do a gap year first. I sooo agree

Blythe

I do think you guys would be excellent parents!!!

Re: college and jobs. See I went to college right after high school and while in high school I worked various food service jobs. In college, I worked as a barista and a janitor and that shit was a lot more intense than my academic jobs. Once I started having academic jobs I could never go back. I think after high school if you don’t like school/don’t know what you want to do, you should do all your gen eds cheap at a community college and then decide. For me, it was 2020 and school was an escape because I liked it and then I got into research (which led me to my current PhD program). I’m a first gen student tho and my mom had me at 20 which was super hard for her. Full 4 year college is not for everyone and I respect that but I think everyone needs to keep educating themself in some way

sewercult

you guys have no idea how badly i needed an episode to listen to right now tysm

tommy

I also had to use a finger scanner to clock in and out of my pizza delivery job

Jori
